Historia
Mom’s Gone Missing is not a how-to book. It’s a here’s-what-unfolded book, a story of a daughter’s experience with a father’s decade-long Alzheimer’s journey and a mother’s lightning fast dementia decline and both of their deaths.

I happened to be halfway thru the paperback version when the AUDIBLE became avail. The author is a natural at reading her own book! She chronicles every single thing that transpired, yet wisely keeps everything popping along at a lively, upbeat pace. I really benefited from this. Clearly, writing/recording it was cathartic for the author, and the catharsis spread to me as I listened, encouraging me to revisit my own experiences with my own parents...including the negative details I'd rather forget, now in a therapeutic way...and treasuring the wonderful moments I'd had, even more. For those just beginning on the caregiver journey, this book can help take the "fearful unknown" that lies ahead, and transform it into a something relatable and grounding.
