Absolutely love it! By far, my favorite podcast!
Revisado: 02-09-21
I found your podcast "accidentally" after a friend recommended a podcast to me, and I incorrectly remembered the name as The Trail Running Public. Thank goodness for my bad memory. I found you guys instead of her recommendation, otherwise I would have had a pretty boring day.
Once I heard one of your Training Tuesdays, I was absolutely hooked! I binged as many Training Tuesdays I could listen to in one day. As a runner and coach, I had been wishing for some coaches I could sit around with and talk training and racing philosophies & strategies! You guys were it!!! Loved your knowledge, experience, principles, approach, honesty, personalities, and energy from the very start. Your passion for the sport & all athletes comes through in every episode.
Once I realized you covered OCR, I was even more intrigued, since this sport has been appealing to me for years, but felt intimidating to tackle. The way you guys explain the training started to make OCR seem a lot more approachable. Hearing the guests you interview also helped me feel more connected to the sport and made it more "real" to hear the stories of the athletes who have gotten into OCR. I loved how so many of the training principles we use in mountain running are the foundation of how you guys approach OCR training. Your ideas always get my mind rolling into ways to adapt and develop new workouts for my athletes.
If you can't tell, you guys are my favorite and I count down the days until your next episode is released.
Also, thanks for promoting OCR Stars, because without having heard about that event, I probably wouldn't have gotten up the nerve to make the decision to change my training and face my weaknesses to get after a sport I have wanted to do. It opened up a new door for me, and I'm enjoying my new training immensely.
Thanks for all of the work and energy you devote to this podcast, you guys are definitely making an impact with your efforts! Keep it up!
