Historia
A reluctant voyager crossing the Pacific in 1850; a disinherited composer blagging a precarious livelihood in between-the-wars Belgium; a high-minded journalist in Governor Reagan's California; a vanity publisher fleeing his gangland creditors; a genetically modified 'dinery server' on death-row; and Zachry, a young Pacific Islander witnessing the nightfall of science and civilisation....

Historia
It would be sheer folly to try to conceal the true nature of Althalus, for his flaws are the stuff of legend. He is, as all men know, a thief, a liar, an occasional murderer, an outrageous braggart, and a man devoid of even the slightest hint of honor. Yet of all the men in the world, it is Althalus, unrepentant rogue and scoundrel, who will become the champion of humanity in its desperate struggle against the forces of an ancient god determined to return the universe to nothingness.

Brilliant Narration Brilliant Book
Revisado: 09-09-18
Superb.
At first I was iffy with the Narrator but I loved Dennis Holland.
His accents and Character voices were perfect and brought another dimension to the book.
As usual (I'm a huge David Eddings fan) the story line is fun and adventurous.
This book requires a bit more thinking than the others as some ideas are more complex especially when they go into talking about time and future etc but it's such a great read and I've read it several times. Each time is more magical as I pick up on concepts and ideas I may have missed before.
The. Aeration makes it that much more interesting.

Dead and boring
Revisado: 08-28-18
I love to hear the separate Characters in the reading of a book it gives it a new dimension.
I can't stand to just hear someone read a book to me I zone out at the monotony and monotone.
I know some people Moan about reading with Accents and voices but honestly if I wanted dead and boring I would just read it myself.
I havnt even gone 30 minutes and I just can't.
Please Please PLEASE let Cameron Bierlie read these book because I just can't believe o wasted thank god not money but a good credit on this rubbish.
I learnt my lesson!

Historia
She soars above a world of warriors, kings, and priests. The daughter of Belgarath and the shape-shifter Poledra, she has fought wars, plotted palace coups, and worked her powerful magic for 3,000 years. Now, Polgara looks back at her magnificent life, in this fitting crown jewel to the saga that is the Eddingses' Belgariad and Mallorean cycles. Her hair streaked white by her father's first touch, her mind guided by a mother she will not see again for centuries, Polgara begins life in her Uncle Beldin's tower, and in the prehistorical, magical Tree that stands in the middle of the Vale.

5 for the book but 1 for the reading.

The book is amazing and the story line is amazing how ever the recording is terrible. I feel like a child having my sister read a book to me.
No offense to Dina but it's dead and has no substance and the silly voices she does for characters and the mispronunciation of names 😫
It's painful as hell.
I'm listening because I love the story but after listening to the entire series by Cameron Bierlie this makes me wince and shake my head.
It's painful.

Historia
Long ago, so the Storyteller claimed, the evil god Torak sought dominion and drove men and Gods to war. But Belgrath the Sorcerer led men to reclaim the Orb that protected the West. So long as it lay at Riva, the prophecy went, men would be safe. That was only a story, and Garion did not believe in magic dooms, even though the man without a shadow had haunted him for years.

I'm a huge David Eddings fan. Have read every single book by him.
I'm so busy with work and have no had a chance to read lately and small text has been hurting my eyes.
Every few years I reread his books along with Tolkien.
Finding them in Audio form is fantastic.
It allows me to work and set my imagination alight at the same time.
A book a day is brilliant and super easy with Audibles.
