Loved the full cast
Revisado: 06-17-23
This was the first series I’ve listened to with a full cast and sound effects in the story and now I need all my audiobooks to be that way! Loved this series so much and the ending was *chefs kiss*

Great take on the zombie apocalypse
Revisado: 02-27-23
This is my first book by David Wellington, and I was pleasantly surprised in how much I enjoyed it. Wellington’s unique take on the zombie apocalypse was very interesting and kept me wanting to hear more. The narrator did well with changing his voice between characters, which made following the audiobook very easy.

Audio track was too much
Revisado: 12-21-21
I really liked the story, and props for a trans MC, loved it. But they had an audio track underneath the narration and it was SO distracting and became very annoying after awhile to where I didn’t even want to finish the story. I powered through but it really just ruined it for me.

Another great story!
Revisado: 06-22-21
I LOVED the alternating POVs in this story of the killer and the book he was reading…..about himself. Catherine Ryan Howard has been an auto author for me (meaning whenever I see a book by her, I automatically pick it up, no checking the synopsis, no questions), and this is yet another one that did not disappoint in the mystery and thriller factors AT ALL. And the way the book is written, again, through the POV of the killer as well as if we are reading chapters from a true crime book (sounds confusing I know) was unlike anything I have read/listened to before. And now I need more like this please! Loved it

Historia
Micheline Helsing is a tetrachromat - a girl who sees the auras of the undead in a prismatic spectrum. As one of the last descendants of the Van Helsing lineage, she has trained since childhood to destroy monsters both corporeal and spiritual. The corporeal undead go down by the bullet, the spiritual undead by the lens. With an analog SLR camera as her best weapon, Micheline exorcises ghosts by capturing their spiritual energy on film.

It was an okay story but I just felt it could have had a lot more development. I did want to check out the second book, but sadly there is none yet. Hopefully there will be someday.

Kind of a letdown
Revisado: 06-22-21
Not entirely sure how I feel about this sequel to be perfectly honest. I thought it was very weird how close he and the ghost were. Loved that they returned to Japan and got to experience a very interesting, different kind of ghost haunting though, and the ending wasn’t bad.

Whoa
Revisado: 06-22-21
I am…..honestly speechless. I didn’t realize when I first started the book how it was narrated, but that actually made it so good, on top of having a good story. By the end I was so invested I felt there wasn’t enough answers and I needed more. Throughout listening I had to keep reminding myself that this was fiction and did not actually happen haha

WOW. What did I just listen to
Revisado: 06-22-21
Admittedly, throughout a good bit of this book I was questioning why so many people always talked about this book. And then by the end I had gone through such a mind spin I wasn’t even sure if I was crazy or not! That ended up being such an intense read, and I fully understand people’s obsession with this book now. Wow!

Historia
A master storyteller at his best - the O. Henry Prize winner Stephen King delivers a generous collection of stories, several of them brand-new, featuring revelatory autobiographical comments on when, why, and how he came to write (or rewrite) each story. Magnificent, eerie, utterly compelling, these stories comprise one of King's finest gifts to his constant fan. "I made them especially for you," says King. "Feel free to examine them, but please be careful. The best of them have teeth."

Historia
It’s been three years since the Virgil County High School Massacre. Three years since my best friend, Sarah, was killed in a bathroom stall during the mass shooting. Everyone knows Sarah’s story - that she died proclaiming her faith. But it’s not true. I know because I was with her when she died. I didn’t say anything then, and people got hurt because of it. Now Sarah’s parents are publishing a book about her, so this might be my last chance to set the record straight. Except Sarah’s martyrdom is important to a lot of people, people who don’t take kindly to what I’m trying to do.
