This might possibly be my favorite books of Leigh Bardugo's so far. That is saying a lot since I LOVED the Grisha Trilogy and have claims numerous times before that it is one of my all-time favorite love stories. I know my next words will be sacrilege for others, but I can say that Leigh Bardugo's Grisha world takes top spot above Harry Potter's world on my list of greatest. *Cue gasps*

Honestly, I can hardly wait for more on the life and times of these wonderful characters and will anxiously await another book so I can see what happens next.

I highly recommend this book, and while it is not critical, I strongly recommend that you read the Grisha Trilogy before you read Six of Crows so that you know the infrastructure of the world and the importance of the Saints, the Grishas, Grisha’s powers and their place, the Civil War, etc.

My love for this series was sealed with this book. I adored everything about it. The love triangle is so complicated that I can't blame Meghan for falling for two wonderful people. Both guys are completely unique and endearing. Prince Ash is...well, Prince Ash, a committed and passionate man with an undeniable greatness. Puck would instantaneously give his life for her and knows her better than she knows herself.

Making this my favorite book of the series (so far), Julie Kagawa brought in new characters, and I love every one of them. She even took time to change our minds totally about a few who returned from The Iron King. I'm a fan of this technique because I'm a firm believer everyone has the power to change who they are and what they do. When an author is successful in her efforts, and I end up loving a character I hated before, I'm always impressed. Only a gifted storyteller can do that, and Julie Kagawa is just that.

When I reviewed The Iron King, I said I immediately downloaded the rest of the series. I'm glad I did. As soon as I finished The Iron Daughter, I began The Iron Queen, so far, I've not been disappointed.

Colleen Houck has done an incredible job of maintaining The Tiger Saga's excitement, adventure, tenderness, and passion with Tiger's Destiny. I've said before that this is one of my all-time favorite series, and with its final book, that statement still holds true.

Colleen Houck's ability to tell a great story that is unbelievable—yet believable—is one of her many talents. She is just as phenomenal at creating characters who are so relatable that the reader has no choice but to laugh when the characters laugh, cry when the characters cry (very real crocodile tears), and love when the characters love.

I'm not going to give anything away. This saga is too special for someone (other than Colleen Houck) to tell about it. In order to fully enjoy Tiger's Destiny, you must read it, experience it, and fall in love with it yourself. That can't be done if you get bits and pieces because they will absolutely spoil the adventure and rid you of the angst you must feel as you try to theorize about the character's destinies as the story plays out.

In my opinion, Colleen Houck wrapped the series up perfectly while leaving the tiniest opening for it to continue should she ever want to resurrect The Tiger Saga. For that, I'm thankful because as soon as I finished, I felt that familiar letdown that has followed the ending of every one of the The Tiger Saga's book. No matter how nicely everything was wrapped up, I still want more Kelsey, Ren, Kishan, and Durga.

Within the covers of 13 on Halloween (Shadow #1) the very talented Laura A.H. Elliott has brilliantly exemplified the narcissism and the varying levels of maturity that sometimes plagues tweens. Twelve year-old Roxie still loves jumping on the trampoline, but those types of juvenile tendencies take second place to her discovery of boys (especially Hayden, the cutest guy in the eighth grade), make-up, and the changes a young woman's body undergoes when she becomes a teenager.

Overshadowing absolutely everything else in Roxie's world is her obsession with becoming a 'peacock' or one of the popular kids. Periodically, her pre-tween self rears her head and longs for a life where her brothers still joke with her and her mother is her closest confidant. As quickly as she has those types of thoughts, she switches back to the person willing to risk anything and everything to become Queen Roxie.

Roxie's thirteenth birthday... her first ever birthday party changes everything. With it, the party begins, astral projection becomes possible, and the world changes.

I should mention that I listened to 13 on Halloween (Shadow #1)'s audiobook and found the narrator to be as talented as Laura A.H. Elliott. I wasn't sure what to expect from an indie author when it came to this format. I was not disappointed. After listening to 13 on Halloween (Shadow #1), I can tell you the professionalism was comparable to that of the traditionally published books... only it didn't cost nearly as much. 13 on Halloween (Shadow #1) was $1.99. Every other audiobook I've ever bought has costs between $25-$30. I will definitely be looking for other indie author's books to read. Their stories are as good as traditionally published books, and they are extremely affordable.

The Immortal Rules (Blood of Eden #1) is one of those books that takes you - first - by surprise and - second - for the ride of your life. It is anything but another vampire book. It's a romance that leaves you wanting more... hoping for me.

Equally amazing for me is the fact that Julie Kagawa wrote The Immortal Rules (Blood of Eden #1). I read and loved The Iron King, The Iron Daughter, The Iron Queen, and The Iron Knight. If I didn't know Julie Kagawa was the author of both series, I never would have suspected. Everything about them (the writing, the characters, the switch from fantasy to paranormal) is so different. Don't get me wrong, The Immortal Rules is as good as any book in The Iron Fey Series. This book just shows how versatile Julie Kagawa can be and what a wonderful author she really is.

Allison Sekemoto reminds me of Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games #1). She does what she needs to do to survive and protect the few people she loves. Then, there's Zeke. What can I say about him? Morally and ethically he's her equal, but unfortunately, he's been brainwashed his entire life to hate that which she's become. I don't want to give anything away, so I won't elaborate. Just trust me on this. Allie and Zeke's journey is one worth taking!

Insurgent (Divergent #2) is one of those books that messes with your psyche and makes you question every character, their motives, and their actions. Veronica Roth is so talented that those who betray Tris might well have betrayed me because the acts felt so personal and were so unexpected. At the same time, I love the way she takes Tris's worst enemies and turns them into humans who are capable of good and proves this theory by giving them unexpected (and important) roles in Tris's journey.

Insurgent (Divergent #2) is as amazing as Divergent (Divergent #1), and the ending can only be described as jaw dropping. I, for one, can't wait for Untitled (Divergent #3).

Divergent is one of those stories that pulls you in and never lets you go. Veronica Roth's talent is unquestionable. She begins this story with a scrawny and weak girl and ends with a formidable and powerful woman. This is not easily accomplished and must be done masterfully in order for the transition to be believable. I can say without a shadow of doubt that Beatrice Prior's (Tris) growth - both physical and mental - is not just believable... it is enviable.

Making the story even better are the characters taking this journey with Tris. All (especially Four) are so real that I found myself loving and hating many of them. The ability to elicit strong emotions over a fictional character is the true sign of a great author, a phenomenal story, and amazing characters. All of which exists within Divergent.

This is definitely one of those stories that anyone of any age can enjoy and appreciate. I highly recommend Divergent and look forward to reading Insurgent next.

Clary, Jace, and Simon are back and better than ever in City of Lost Souls. Sebastian does a great job at replacing Valentine and manipulating Jace...much to Clary's dismay. Clary is as headstrong and committed as she's ever been...much to Simon - and her mother's - dismay.

Truly, I loved City of Lost Souls and felt as if I'd been transported back to the day when I first read City of Bones and immediately deemed it one of my favorite books of all time. It is that good.

As always, I am enviously amazed at the way Cassandra Clare uses her talents to draw us into every one of the character's trials, tribulations, and emotions (love, hate, fear, and insecurities). She has a masterful way of making you feel like you have a stake in each of their challenges.

In City of Lost Souls, love... blood... betrayal... revenge definitely collide and every lover of paranormal/fantasy will want to take part. If you haven't begun this series, you should. If you've read every other book in the series except this one, you should right that wrong immediately. You will not be disappointed.

Tiger's Voyage is another wonderful book within one of my favorite series to date. Colleen Houck is a phenomenal author who has done a great job writing a story filled with heart-squeezing romance, unbelievably believable fantasy worlds, and spine-tingling adventures. Honestly, I can't say enough positive things about this timeless saga.

The characters. From the main ones to the supporting ones, they are created and molded until they are perfect. Their every action and reaction believable...frustrating...and amazing. Kelsey, Ren, Kishan, and Mr. Kadam have come to feel like old friends.

The settings. Each and every one of the fantasy worlds traveled to during this version of the quest are described in a manner where I can easily visualize its traits, its magnificence, and its dangers.

The love triangle. Oh my Goodness! What can I say about that? It's masterful. One minute, I'm pulling for one brother. The next, I'm pulling for the other. I'm not sure Kelsy could lose with either Ren or Kishan. There is definitely only one who can hurt her to the core. When he does, I feel her ache as if it were my own.

I love this series so much, I've spent several weeks reading and re-reading it. This is important to mention because I almost never re-read a book. I have so little leisure time that going back over a book where I already know the final outcome is rare. I've made the exception with The Tiger Saga because of all the great details that I missed the first time. The excitement and anticipation prevented me from appreciating the lengths Colleen Houck went to to create this fascinating story.

I won't give anything away, but Tiger's Voyage ends in such a surprising manner that fans like me will be rabidly awaiting Tiger's Destiny's release. I for one...I can not wait!

I love where Passion (Fallen #3) begins. Torment (Fallen #2) left me hanging, so I was beyond anxious to see where this book - the story - took us. I was not disappointed.

If you are a fan of period pieces, you will adore Passion (Fallen #3). We are taken through past life after past life where Luce and Daniel meet, fall in love, and separate because of the curse plaguing them and their relationship.

There are moments that are tender where you fall deeper in love with the characters. There are other times that are so heart wrenching where you mourn for their fate. In the end, you are pulling for them and hoping they find each other for real and break the curse.

I liked the way Lauren Kate makes us see the characters from each of the previous books in a new light, making us question - yet again - their ulterior motives. As for me, I'm looking forward to Rapture (Fallen #4), which absolutely has the potential to be the best one yet.
