Thinking about a great conversation, I couldn't pinpoint what the x-factor was, but this book breaks it down into learnable skills. I particularly enjoy the chapter on conversation influencers- It gave me a new perspective on how the other party can interpret my message based on their upbringing. Super fascinating!

Written by a mother who struggled to raise her daughter from academically challenged to excelling, this book uses an empathetic approach to help parents coach their kids with ADHD. After getting an understanding the ADHD brain, I become more compassionate and patient with my child in need. I feel well-informed about various medical and non-medical treatments available and proper diet to manage my child's symptoms. I found the practice scripts in the "Making Friends" chapter useful in preparing my child for social situations and the chapter on behavioral therapy is super informative. I'd recommend this to anyone who looking to best support a child with ADHD!

We decided to plan our wedding without a wedding planner. This book suggested 10 creative ways to cut costs and I found them really useful!! I also appreciate it provided a template of questions to ask vendors to help us decide who would be a good fit. The scenarios in the disaster control chapter gave us something to think about and be super prepared :))

It is overall a great resource for anyone to re-program our mind, conquer our fear, and be more assertive.
I found the chapter on improving verbal and non-verbal communication particularly useful. Great examples (and very relevant for teens) on how to comfortably enter a conversation with confident body language. I love the scripts on how to politely say no and a simple template on how to be assertive without being aggressive.

Written by a seasoned backpacker who traveled to 72 countries, Santos provides lots of useful tips that we may not have thought of but make so much sense to incorporate for backpacking. This book definitely helps minimize the stress and maximize the fun of traveling! I particularly enjoyed the chapter on when you get there and appreciate the packing checklist. Great read!

I have been doing inner work for the past couple years, but nothing has such a profound impact on me as this book. I especially enjoyed a list of thought-provoking questions in the chapter of "healing", where I discovered so much about my own shadow which I've been carrying for so many years without being aware of them. Highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to uncover and understand their triggers which is not an easy task.

For a person who is into wild foods, I absolutely love this fun read! Written by a long time forager, this book introduced me to a world of exotic wild foods that can be incorporated in everyday meals. For example I was surprised acorns can be used to replace nuts and gluten free flour. And I had no idea chickweed can be prepared just like spinach and kale. This book is full of interesting and useful information. I particularly like the recipes and love the unique voice of the narrator. Great read!

This is everything I need to hear to believe in myself, trust my potential, and become my best self. I have new found energy and motivation after reading this book, and I plan to make it a habit to do this inner work to feel content, whole, and complete on a daily basis. The narrator is calming, comforting and motivating, just like a therapist. I really enjoy the book. Great read!
