Not what I expected.

I mean that in the best way. When I first started i thought it would be a somewhat cozy, overpowered main character, slice of life type of book. I was right, in the beginning, then it got wilder and wilder as the book went on. The ending was good as well. Jake's hard work paying off.
p.s I like Harra. but I prefer certain deer woman, but oh well. I still very much enjoyed this book.

I had an inkling of where this book was going, and was hoping it didn't go that direction. Don't get me wrong I loved the manipulation and twist, but I liked Ren, especially how she was first introduced.( The whole enemies to lovers thing). Unfortunately, it didn't reach the finish line. Oh well , Flint has a new girl, and I'm can't wait for the next book.
