Would you try another book from Debbie Macomber and/or Delilah?

I plan to eventually read all of Debbie Macomber books, but will avoid any more books that are read by this particular narrator. She really does a poor job of following the story with her voice.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Delilah?

Eby Sirois did an excellent job with a Debbie Macomber book.

Too silly

I loved Christopher Moore's book "Fool", which lead me to try this book. I definitely recommend "Fool", but "Lamb" is so unbelievably silly that I couldn't bring myself to even finish it. There was no real story, just a long series of overly exaggerated, disjointed, silly and totally unbelievable mini-tales.

The Book was Excellent, the reader, not so good

I absolutely loved this book. What an account of Vietnam. A real eye opener for those who have never been there, and a valuable history book with a story line to keep you interested. But the reader ruined the book, in my opinion. Although the main character, Paul Brenner, was obviously a negative and sarcastic person by design, the reader failed to change moods in the slightest for the other characters and the in-between narratives. This made the book difficult to listen to. It seemed that only one mood was set for Paul Brenner, when the words indicated otherwise. Also, there was a good deal of dialogue between characters, and these portions were horrible listening as the reader drug very very slowly through the "he said", "she saids" in a way that left me very tired indeed. Put this book behind another reader and it would be another book altogether. I felt very sad that a book of such quality could be so ruined by a poor read.
