Historia
A window is but a piece of glass through which we view the world outside. It is not meant to distort. It is not intended to do anything but show us things as they are. At Oxford, though, there is a very particular window that reveals a very particular view. It is a view that defies all laws of nature and science. And when a detective is called in to investigate, he is startled to find that view opens a window into his own life–and a mystery he has never been able to solve.

Performance: Good! Story: okay
Revisado: 05-22-24
The guy who did the main character's voice was REALLY good. The storyline was okay but I wish there was more artsy movement in the writing... It felt like someone was writing a screenplay for a TV show, which is fine, I might just be too picky because I really loved the premise. (I was thinking the writing was gonna be somewhat like the lyrical movement of... Annihilation by Jeff Vandermeer. I think maybe I'm just a book snob though, LOL.)

Not your typical boring diet book, this is a tart-tongued, no-holds-barred wakeup call to all women who want to be thin. With such blunt advice as "soda is liquid Satan" and "you are a total moron if you think the Atkins Diet will make you thin", it's a rallying cry for all savvy women to start eating healthy and looking radiant. Unlike standard diet books, it actually makes the reader laugh out loud with its truthful, smart-mouthed revelations.

Beginner Level and vegan propaganda
Revisado: 05-13-24
I liked that this is a good entry level guide to getting healthy and teaching the average, layman, (those of us from UK, US, Aussie, Canada, etc.) how to be discerning about what we put into our bodies. Most of this I've heard before but may be new to some. There were some good tips and insight to the food industry. However. The authors traded one dark side of the food industry for another. Their solution was to eat fake meats and go completely vegan. My family and I were vegan for 3 years, so I know a lot about this. The thing they left out in the book was instead of promoting organic foods exclusively, they promote "franken-foods", which don't have any long term studies on what this does to the body. In my experience, the fake meats/dairy caused my husband and me to gain 15 lbs... on a vegan diet... even though we were mostly eating veggies and feeling like we were missing out on experiences with family/friends, because food is a social thing. We did NOT eat a bunch of junk food either, all we did was include fake meats/dairy into our diet. it raised our blood preasure in our mid 30s (!) and wasn't always organic. When we went BACK to eating meats, we exclusively ate organic EVERYTHING, meats and dairy included, we continued to NOT eat organic junk food, and we both lost the extra 15 lbs we had gained eating the fake meats and dairy. SO! Save yourself the trouble, skim through the vegan propaganda, and just eat organic foods while cutting out the junk-food and processed snacks, even if they're organic. Organic farms will benefit, and you will be healthy and slim like our great-grandmothers in the 1940s when a lot of what they ate was full-fat butter, red meat, and whole milk. All organic, of course. Thank me later B***ch. :)

This explosive new audiobook challenges many of the long-held assumptions about blacks, about Jews, about Germans and Nazis, about slavery, and about education. Plainly written, powerfully reasoned, and backed with a startling array of documented facts, Black Rednecks and White Liberals takes on the trendy intellectuals of our times as well as historic interpreters of American life.

So Good!
Revisado: 08-28-23
Such a good book! it should be taught in high schools across the country, let alone colleges. This book accurately explains the origins of modern cultures in the Western world, in particular, the United States' various cultures. It describes how we became so divided in the first place, and how it didn't happen like you've probably assumed. (All based on fact and evidence of first-person accounts of written and recorded history, rather than through the lense of current times, which makes this book extremely historically correct.) This book describes how we got out of that division on some levels, and how - and why - we have regressed into greater division in recent times. It even gives inspiration on how we might try to move forward as a united people, based on true and researchable evidence found in our history, INSTEAD of judging history based on current morrals ofnoue time. To sum it all up:: Wow. Just WOW! So eye-opening and such a brilliantly written book; written by black American Author Thomas Sowell, and read by an amazing voice actor.(...of whom I'm assuming he's reading this book by a pseudonym for some reason...? though I'm not sure why). EVERYONE in the USA needs to read this book. It should be a requirement I all higher education in this country.

The Real Anthony Fauci details how Fauci, Gates, and their cohorts use their control of media outlets, scientific journals, key government and quasi-governmental agencies, global intelligence agencies, and influential scientists and physicians to flood the public with fearful propaganda about COVID-19 virulence and pathogenesis, and to muzzle debate and ruthlessly censor dissent.

Good and verifiable information
Revisado: 12-29-22
I'm a Millennial woman, (in my late 30s) and after reading this book, let's just say I am glad I've made the choices I made regarding the new vax's for myself and my family. This book wasn't solely based on Anthony Fauci, though it touched on a lot of the patterns he developed during his time of the AIDS crisis in the beginning of the book, and the things we see today revolving around COVID-19 towards the end of this book. In the middle was a lot of information that I paused the book and researched, only to find out it was indeed true and relevant. The author of this book has laid it out to where we as the readers can see how history has a way of not only repeating itself, but redefining itself through the powerful men and women in our Western culture who value nothing but power, control, and/or money. The only thing I didn't like about this book was the monotony of the voice narration. (I sort of imagined Ferris Beuler's teacher reading it?) Aside from that, this book is a must-read if you are living in this day and age. The information in this book will be confirmation to those who already suspected as such, researchable for the skeptics, and transformative to those who were once clueless. Not kidding. You gotta read this.

Pretty Darn Good
Revisado: 10-21-22
Wonderful story telling, wonderful stories in the book, and it's read by the author who does a podcast that I've never heard of before. But after listening to the book, makes me want to listen to the podcast! This is a scary and fun read. Kept my daily attention - more so than other true-ghost-encounter type books on Audible. This is a great book to get you in the mood for Halloween or if you're just curious about others' encounters with those on the "other side".

This collection of true paranormal pet stories will have the hair on the back of your neck standing on end. Hear accounts from owners who were certain their beloved animals came back from the other side. But don’t be fooled; these stories aren’t all happy reunions and love. Some are downright chilling and might make you glad your pet hasn’t come back for a visit.

great stories!
Revisado: 05-02-22
The stories in here we're pretty scary. I like it a lot. The narrator was a bit bland... but not too bad. My husband asked if I was listening to a computerized voice, and I said no, at least, I don't think so. The stories were pretty scary though, so it's worth the listen. I think the narrator could ave been more unique/personal in her presentation, but other than than that, it was overall enjoyable to listen to. You should give it a listen.

Historia
Stacey Dash didn't have the ideal American childhood. Growing up in the South Bronx, her friends were the hustlers, hookers, and gang members who struggled in the face of futility, who sold drugs instead of living on food stamps, who settled matters with fists, knives, and guns because it seemed their only option, who stood tall against broken dreams. Dash's rough upbringing shaped the rest of her life - her relationships, her politics, even her faith.

A really good book
Revisado: 10-22-21
Stacey dash is a woman who knows herself and isn't afraid of defying what other people expect her to be. her early history was shocking to hear, but in the end she has a lot of perspective and hope for the future. as a woman can I find her story to be extremely fascinating and hopeful. she has a lot of good things to say about the current politics, even if this was written a few years ago. what she says still rings true today. this was truly worth the listen. I hope she writes more books on politics because what she has to say is a perspective that isn't well traveled, but is very much needed to be heard by Americans in general.

Good Book, However...
Revisado: 03-11-21
This is NOT the book you want to be reading if you are newly experiencing PTSD from a recent marital trauma due to porn / infidelity. For that, you NEED to get the book "Intimate Deception" by Dr. Sheri Keffer, another Christian author, who delves deeper into the subject on healing, rather than just restoring the marriage. But in this book, if I had just experienced a new trauma and was searching for some help, this is not the book. For sure, buy it, and when you've made the decision to repair the marriage, then read this book because it helps you walk through the process for doing just that and all the when's, what's, why's and hows. But if you're looking for ways to HEAL and need answers to why you feel crazy and worthless when a marital trauma happens to you, get "Intimate Deception" by Dr. Sheri Keffer. And only buy this one when your man has shown PROOF to you that he is actually ready to be your one and only. If you're not at that step in your journey yet, this book will make you angry and probably make things worse for you as the woman, because you can't just expect a man who isn't doing his own work to meet you half way. Just an FYI. But as for me, this actually DID help, as we were at a point in our journey to repair our marriage, almost 3 years past D-Day (discovery day), so this was a safe book to venture into. It took me 2 years to heal my trauma and find that I was not the cause. And if the marital infidelity landed on you like that too, you most likely have PTSD, too. Anyhow, this book had some good insight into why men are made the way they are, and how they operate. Buy it, and put it on your shelf (or virtual shelf), but save it until you are at the point where you are BOTH ready to heal your marriage... don't read it until then.
