Historia
Birds of a Feather finds psychologist and private investigator Maisie Dobbs on another adventure in London. It is the spring of 1930, and Maisie has been hired to find a runaway heiress. But what seems a simple case at the outset soon becomes increasingly complicated when three of the heiress’s old friends are found dead. Is there a connection between the woman’s mysterious disappearance and the murders? Who would want to kill three seemingly respectable young women? As Maisie investigates, she discovers that the answers lie in the unforgettable agony of the Great War.

Glimmers of hope
Revisado: 03-23-25
This is a moving story, interesting, and above all, a solid who done it. In the ravages of WWI, probably any war, all suffer. Wounds are visible and invisible. The heartache is shared by all those who pass on all those who survive. A psychologist and investigator searches out as much truth as can be discovered, and she strives to leave those she encounters better off in their souls too. The story is plenty fasted paced and the narrator/performer is absolutely top notch!!

Historia
Maisie Dobbs got her start as a maid in an aristocratic London household when she was thirteen. Her employer, suffragette Lady Rowan Compton, soon became her patron, taking the remarkably bright youngster under her wing. Lady Rowan’s friend, Maurice Blanche, often retained as an investigator by the European elite, recognized Maisie’s intuitive gifts. The outbreak of war changed everything. Ten years after the Armistice, in the spring of 1929, Maisie sets out on her own as a private investigator, one who has learned that coincidences are meaningful, and truth elusive.

FTL Navigator Story
Revisado: 03-15-25
The author creates interesting dynamics among the different factions. For me, it’s all too realistic that corporations and a few families are in charge of the human race, even across galactic realms.

Really Good
Revisado: 03-14-25
I recommend this title. It has a well developed world, and many, if not all, believable and consistent characters. There is treachery without there being dire situations drawn out. The suspense is entertaining.

Outstanding
Revisado: 02-21-25
This has to be one of the best time travel stories. Some reviewers have said there’s a twist at the end. I do not agree that. I think what they do with the technology for the last part of the book is a logical progression. I will say that the chapters waiting to figure out the murder of one of the semi-main characters does drag a bit. Otherwise, this is a must listen. The performer narrator is also very very good. I recommend this story.

Historia
From the moment Dara of Westwood spied the Silver Headed Raptor nesting in Rundeval Peak, the precocious redheaded 12-year-old girl was enchanted. The youngest daughter of the Master of the Wood lived in ramshackle Westwood Hall, in the independently minded Westwood estate of Sevendor. Her determination to capture a baby falcon and train it wasn’t hampered by the fact that Dara had never climbed a mountain, had never been trained in falconry, or even remotely had permission from her father to do it.

Great Who Done It
Revisado: 02-12-25
The pace of the clues and pursuit was very well done. They followed up leads as fast as they could. There were interesting historical items that I don’t know how factual they are, but seem plausible. Many of these aspects of life in London during this time period were painted as very grim. Again, they seemed plausible, if not probable. They were important to the story and lead to the serial killers motives. I enjoyed the “lady” doctor’s co-lead role in solving the case, and her interplay and developing camaraderie with the lead detective inspector. I recommend this story, and especially to fans of murder mysteries.
