Historia
This biography by Edmund Morris, the Pulitzer Prize - and National Book Award - winning author of The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt and Theodore Rex, marks the completion of a trilogy sure to stand as definitive. Of all our great presidents, Theodore Roosevelt is the only one whose greatness increased out of office. What other president has written 40 books, hunted lions, founded a third political party, survived an assassin’s bullet, and explored an unknown river longer than the Rhine?

well written and well researched.

I sometimes find it hard to get through a biography, but this series was well written and in a way that still let me see the forest of Teddy Roosevelt while describing each tree of his life in turn.

Powerful
Revisado: 10-12-24
Heavy content, but needed. This story truly feels like an honest attempt to show those of us who were not, and are not, in this conflict directly what the people caught in the middle are experiencing. I feel the author did this in a way that showed us the tragedy of war without putting an agenda or political spin on his story. He doesn't justify or condemn any actions, but opens the readers eyes to the horrors of what is happening.

Profound
Revisado: 09-30-24
Very informative and quite heavy. Definitely worth the read. Eye opening to read about an event that set the tone for what we have experienced over the last 40 years and continue experience today. This makes me respect the men and women who serve our country in this capacity even more than I already do. Additionally, the mistakes highlighted here, and how various people responded to them, are something we can all learn from as we tackle the various challenges we face every day.
