Mad Dog and Tempe…love this K9 mystery series!
Revisado: 11-17-23
Great series! I enjoy the training parts ref Tempe, and how strong Maddie’s character is. Even though she’s had some rough times she is making it through sheer grit and determination. Bentley and Grace add a warm and calming tone to counteract the dramatic situations Maddie finds herself involved in. Love her character… even her flair for colorful fun decor and cars! Narrator is great and really puts the final touch on Maddie’s personality. Great change in voices for the other characters also!

Historia
When teenage sisters go missing in the mysterious "Bennington Triangle" of Vermont, an area renowned for its disappearances and strange occurrences over the past 100 years, FBI agent Jack Juarez brings K-9 handler Jamie Flint and her dog Phantom in to assist with the search. When Jack realizes the case shares haunting similarities with the murders of the missing girls' aunts 10 years before, it becomes clear that he and Jamie are dealing with much more than two girls who simply wandered off the beaten path.

Very interesting story!
Revisado: 03-23-22
I really liked the main character, her son, her SAR dog Phantom, and her business is very interesting!!! Would love to hear more on the dogs she trains in the story.
Lots of interesting and unexpected twists kept me riveted.
Narrator’s voice was very good… I enjoyed her southern accent and she speaks very clearly… and puts just the right tones into her voice to show emotions and keep it exciting!

Historia
The horse Susan Richards chose for rescue wouldn't be corralled into her waiting trailer. Instead, Lay Me Down, a former racehorse with a foal close on her heels, walked right up that ramp and into Susan's life. This gentle creature, malnourished, plagued by pneumonia and an eye infection, had endured a rough road, but somehow her heart was still open and generous.

Beautiful story about horses, and a woman who loves them. Very insightful into feelings, emotions, life experiences and how these experiences shape a persons life. Loved the descriptions of the horses personalities and how they act to each other and their human. I would have enjoyed being this woman’s neighbor…we could have had lots of fun horse adventures!
The narrator was excellent, the emotions she portrayed in her voice throughout the story made it all come to life, as if I was sitting there in person listening to a friend tell me what happened! I was sure it was the author reading her own story!! Thank you😊

I loved the Raine Stockton series.. and I think this series will be just as exciting judging from this book! Some interesting twists and turns I did not expect, great police representation of a small city force, laws and procedures. The dynamics, personalities, and emotions of the officers and other characters were fantastic. Kept me listening and guessing!!! Another riveting book Ms. Ball! Thank you!!! Great narration too!

Interesting story,,,made me laugh and I can relate to some of her escapades!!! Loved the big family dynamics. From the title I really thought she had a dog herself.. but at least her brother did…loved the dogs name… “Mother Teresa”….
The narrator was amazing!! Voices were consistent with each character, and she did a great job on the male voices!! They all sounded different!

Lots of suspense!
Revisado: 12-19-21
I just love this series and how all the characters have and continue to evolve…Maddie and Robo are a fantastic team! The storyline is exciting as Maddie continues to resolve each investigation only to find there is more to unravel in the future. Which means there are more books to come! Love the romance building for her and Cole, and how the lives of the other characters are touched on as well. And all the dogs and horses and wilderness adventures! Exciting and suspenseful series, and last but not least, great police work and interaction. The author represents police work, K-9 teams, and protocol very well in her series, which makes it even more realistic to read. Great research. I just love the Sheriff, and the narrators voice for him. Always so calm and at the same time demanding respect and controlling each situation. Smart man, and he also allows his deputies to do their job. Can’t wait for the next book in this series!!

Aggie Malone is a dedicated young cop who has spent her entire life just looking for a place to call home. She never thought she'd find it in a quaint Florida village called Dogleg Island, where almost nothing ever happens. Deputy Ryan Grady is an easygoing playboy who carries a surf board in the trunk of his patrol car and lives in the same rambling beach cottage his grandfather built 70 years ago. He grew up on Dogleg Island and can't imagine ever living anywhere else. It's always been the most peaceful place he has ever known.

Love the border collie!
Revisado: 11-19-21
Flash is a very smart dog, but then Border collies are very smart! I have one, I know! I loved the way Flash provided his thoughts on everything happening, from a dog’s point of view. And his reasoning was so typical Border collie personality, the author nailed it with the dog! The story plot was great, kept me interested. Regarding actual police work in Florida, some things were not done like real life, but hey it’s a book right? Would like to see the narrator put a little more excitement in her voice, too somber. But all in all it was a fun read, kept me listening to see what happened next! Loved deputy Ryan Grady’s character!! Thank you Donna Ball for another great book!

Love this dog mystery series!!
Revisado: 09-18-21
The author has a gift of portraying the emotions of her characters in a very realistic fashion. The narrator does a wonderful job bringing the story to life with her talented way of translating those emotions with her voice as she tells the story. I’ve read the series in order, and so far this was my favorite! I like how Raine seems to get involved in the mysteries quite by accident, and she discovers and figures out clues without even looking for them! The dog’s escapades and training sessions are so much fun, as is the evolving story of Raine’s life, her dog training business, her friends, the town, the Sheriff’s office, and her love life. Makes me want to go visit or live there..if only it were for real🐾
