I wasn't a podcast person...
Revisado: 12-30-22
I think I resisted listening to podcasts because I assumed the subject matter and presentation just wouldn't be what I was hoping for. I just started listening to Mile Higher maybe a month or so ago. I cannot get enough of this podcast, and no other ones stack up for me as of yet. The dynamic between these three is great. They make a listener feel like a friend they're all talking to, idk, good vibes, good topics, relatable people. Can't ask for more. Plus, they all speak very well, their voices are all pleasant. I love this podcast so much, I literally just bought merch today. lol.

Historia
Boisterous, ribald, and ultimately shattering, Ken Kesey's One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest has left an indelible mark on the literature of our time. Turning conventional notions of sanity and insanity on their heads, the novel tells the unforgettable story of a mental ward and its inhabitants, especially tyrannical Big Nurse Ratched and Randle Patrick McMurphy, the brawling, fun-loving new inmate who resolves to oppose her.

Great story, wonderful performance.

This book was excellent, and made even better by John C. Riley. Considering his comedy, I didn't think that this role was really for him, but he really seemed to take the reading seriously and did an excellent job.

Historia
In Dad is Fat, stand-up comedian Jim Gaffigan, who’s best known for his legendary riffs on Hot Pockets, bacon, manatees, and McDonald's, expresses all the joys and horrors of life with five young children - everything from cousins ("celebrities for little kids") to toddlers’ communication skills ("they always sound like they have traveled by horseback for hours to deliver important news"), to the eating habits of four-year-olds ("there is no difference between a four-year-old eating a taco and throwing a taco on the floor").

Not what I was expecting...
Revisado: 01-03-15
there's nothing wrong with this book, it just wasn't what I thought it was going to be. I admittedly had this on my wish list for a long time, but never bothered to read any reviews. oops. So, what this book has is some laughs about parenthood, and really goes over a lot of things that an expecting father could stand to hear. I think that Jim makes fatherhood and married life palletable, kind of like a primer for a new dad. would be a great book for a new, or seasoned dad...just not what I had expected.
