Historia
For Landon Stackhouse, being called up from the Calgary farm team is exciting and terrifying, even if, as the backup goalie, he rarely leaves the bench. A quiet loner by nature, Landon knows he gives off strong “don’t talk to me” vibes. The only player who doesn’t seem to notice is Calgary’s superstar young winger, Casey Hicks. Casey treats Landon like an old friend, even though they’ve only interacted briefly in the past. He’s endlessly charming and completely laid-back in a way that Landon absolutely can’t relate to.

Generally sweet, at times annoying, too long.

Juvenile version of a M/M romance.
Revisado: 09-28-23
I’ve really enjoyed previous books by this author but this one is so juvenile I has to stop halfway in. In the 1000+ audiobooks I’ve listened to there are maybe 10-12 that I could not finish. The MC’s problems are built up as secret and I’m sorry but a grown male NHL player being afraid of the dark for no reason is not worth mentioning let alone being built up as trauma. A Virgin 25 y/o AHL player is written as if he were the herioine in an Jane Austen novel. Also I’m not into romances where one MC hooks up multiple times in full view of their love interest for 60% of the book. Just a big No to this installment from this author. Sucks cause I’m a huge fan of prior books and Calgary is my fave NHL team:( Skip this one.

Historia
One date. That’s how long it takes for Marshall Harrows to end up on my bad side. Luckily, I have no plans to see the giant teddy bear again. Except when he shows up as my new roommate, I can’t escape him, and he’s just as irritating as I thought he’d be. He leaves cupboards ajar and puts empty milk cartons back in the fridge. His bedroom door is always open, I find his underwear on the laundry floor, and he has this whole bashful sweetheart thing going on that I just…can’t…stand.

Awful narration on this one. Sounds like a commercial, FU series
Revisado: 09-26-22
So of the 500+ audible’s I’ve listened to, this is maybe the 10th review I’ve left. That’s how bad the narrator performs it. He does the most up talking of any of them. It’s sounds like a bad TV ad, insincere, and no connection with the characters. Also no attempt at distinguishing h the heroes either. So much up talking. Ugh. I have read all of Saxon James’s other books, not their best effort and not the best in the FU series. Read it, don’t audible it. Unless you love uptalking narration then go for it.
