Historia
In the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election, Donald Trump and many around him, including certain other elected Republican officials, intentionally breached their oath to the Constitution: they ignored the rulings of dozens of courts, plotted to overturn a lawful election, and provoked a violent attack on our Capitol.

Excellent, Harrowing, and Eloquent
Revisado: 03-01-24
Well written, riveting, and compelling. It’s still hard to believe that January 6 happened and even more difficult to understand those who downplay the severity and seriousness; and blindly support the one responsible. It’s clear what happened that day and Liz Cheney is spot on. The constitution and our republic still hang in the balance. Wake up!!

Inspiring and Entertaining
Revisado: 06-18-21
This is a great book for a football fan, but more than that a very inspiring and entertaining motivational book. As an alumnus and fan of one of his most hated rival teams, Spurrier has fascinated and infuriated me at times. In fact, I’ve attended some of the games he mentions in the book. So, when I saw his book, I knew I had to check it out and it did not disappoint; it’s outstanding. I love his boldness, brashness, and unapologetic approach to winning; there are great lessons and advice here for anyone who wants to strive to the best in any field; I’m certain that I’ll add his advice to my own approach. Thanks Coach, great book; congrats on your accomplishments. See you at the beach.

Historia
Decline can be avoided. Decline can be detected. Decline can be reversed. Amidst the desolate landscape of fallen great companies, Jim Collins began to wonder: How do the mighty fall? Can decline be detected early and avoided? How far can a company fall before the path toward doom becomes inevitable and unshakable? How can companies reverse course?

Another fantastic book by Jim Collins
Revisado: 02-18-13
Would you consider the audio edition of How the Mighty Fall to be better than the print version?
Having not reviewed the print edition, I cannot comment. Having said that, Collins does a very nice job of describing details from the print edition, to orient the listener to the point or lesson he's trying to convey. As with his other audio books, he does a great job delivering the message.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I enjoyed his discussion of HP and their fall; unfortunately, their story is all too familiar - a company in search of a savior with no clear strategy to pursue.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
With many of his books, it's good to listen, reflect, then listen more.
Any additional comments?
Another outstanding book; he puts this recession into some perspective and does well detailing the steps toward total and utter failure. The message from this book could be used to describe why government administrations falter, once great football teams become losers, and similar applications.

Historia
More than a million listeners have thrilled to Bill O'Reilly's Killing Lincoln, the can't-stop-listening work of nonfiction about the shocking assassination that changed the course of American history. Now the anchor of The O'Reilly Factor recounts in gripping detail the brutal murder of John Fitzgerald Kennedy—and how a sequence of gunshots on a Dallas afternoon not only killed a beloved president but also sent the nation into the cataclysmic division of the Vietnam War and its culture-changing aftermath.

Excellent! Excellent! Excellent!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
The book is well planned and O'Reilly does a very good job reading the book. Based on other Kennedy books I've read, his facts are concise and well stated. He doesn't go into as much detail as other authors, but nonetheless, with this book he puts the facts together succinctly and logically. I also like his story telling around the events of the assassination - the missile crises, the affairs - those details round the book nicely. O'Reilly and his co-author provide plenty of small interesting facts before and after the assassination that you might not hear elsewhere. His evidence-based approach to the assassination is refreshing and gives the book instant credibility. Very enjoyable, interesting and well read.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Killing Kennedy?
I hate to say it, but taking a young girl's virginity on their marital bed; that one is hard to forget.
Which scene was your favorite?
The details of Lyndon Johnson's decisions after the assassination.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes
Any additional comments?
An instant classic and great addition to the long line of Kennedy assassination books.

On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Very Interesting and Thought Provoking
Revisado: 01-16-12
What made the experience of listening to Back to Work the most enjoyable?
His mastery of technical information was impressive; as were his arguments for methods of getting this economy back on track. He takes a reasonable bipartisan approach to finding solutions that work, acknowledging faults and successes of both Republican and Democratic ideals and ideas. Not a huge Bill Clinton fan, but he did a thorough, succinct job and read the book very well also.
Who was your favorite character and why?
N/A
What does Bill Clinton bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Reading his own words made it even more compelling.
What’s the most interesting tidbit you’ve picked up from this book?
Clean energy initiatives and programs
Any additional comments?
We need this approach in DC; both sides have become too polarized.
