Different childhoods, so much the same
Revisado: 10-02-24
This story, told in such a way that too many words weren't necessary. I understood. The characters came to life. I enjoyed the rebellion of Patch, the mouth on Charlotte, the strength of Saint and the personality of Sammy, such that it was. Yep, I cried near the end, but I needed a good cry. The narration was better than 100%. Thank you for that. Great story, highly recommend.

A heart-wrenching new novel from best-selling author Rebecca Yarros that examines the risks we take for love, the scars too deep to heal, and the endings we can't bring ourselves to see coming.

Emotional and satisfying
Revisado: 08-08-24
How hard it must be to live during war in a targeted country. How exciting it must be to fall in love with a honorable warrior for good. Also how terrifying. So well told and revealed in increments. I certainly cried. Well done in all ways.

Historia
After Tova Sullivan’s husband died, she began working the night shift at the Sowell Bay Aquarium, mopping floors and tidying up. Keeping busy has always helped her cope, which she’s been doing since her eighteen-year-old son, Erik, mysteriously vanished on a boat in Puget Sound over thirty years ago. Tova becomes acquainted with curmudgeonly Marcellus, a giant Pacific octopus living at the aquarium. Marcellus knows more than anyone can imagine but wouldn’t dream of lifting one of his eight arms for his human captors—until he forms a remarkable friendship with Tova.

Narration problem
Revisado: 08-09-21
I love Mia Sheridans storytelling. I cringed at the male narration. like a voice over for an action movie promotion. Or a NBA game introduction. too much. however, I'm moving on to another book by Ms Sheridan but not if this guy is narrating.
