Historia
Shame influences more of our thoughts and actions than many other emotions. Used as a punishment for bad behavior, shame acts as an incentive for us to behave in socially acceptable ways. As a common method used to regulate children’s behavior, shame is by far one of the most pervasive socializing agents. Many of our more persistent, punitive, and critical feelings about ourselves stem from humiliations in early childhood even if we don’t remember the specific events that prompted them.

Historia
In this audiobook, Bernard claims that flying saucers not only exist, but that they are the vehicles of a super-race that lives in a huge, underground world, whose entrance is at the Earth's north and south poles. In essence, the Earth is really a fat donut, with little holes at the top and bottom. The seawater and geographical forms stay in place as the surface of the donut curves inward and upside down, held in place by gravity.

Clear advice with sample one-liner responses!!!
Revisado: 04-23-19
This author removes the usual stigma around people who use manipulation to get their needs met occasionally along with relatively benign descriptions of pathological people who manipulate chronically because they can. I just love his suggestions for countering the sneaky, subtle manipulations of narcissists and psychopaths.

Historia
Best-selling author Bryan Burrough recently made a shocking discovery: The small town of Temple, Texas, where he had grown up, had harbored a dark secret. One of his high school classmates, Danny Corwin, was a vicious serial killer. In this chilling tale, Burrough raises important questions of whether serial killers can be recognized before they kill or rehabilitated after they do. It is also a story of Texas politics and power that led the good citizens of the town of Temple to enable a demon who was their worst nightmare.

A Godsend After Losing THREE PETS in Five Months!
Revisado: 04-15-18
What did you love best about The Amazing Afterlife of Animals?
I loved realizing that my precious furbabies of 17.5 years are still with me!!!
This is a very professionally presented book - the author speaks from her own and other's experiences - she is an companion animal communicator both during the pet's life and in the next life or dimension.
What other book might you compare The Amazing Afterlife of Animals to and why?
Lyn Ragan's "Pets in the Afterlife"; "Goodbye, Friend" by Gary Kowalski (Healing Wisdom for Anyone Who Has Ever Lost a Pet) Good Grief (Heal Your Soul, Honor Your Loved Ones, and Learn to Live Again) by Theresa Caputo
Which scene was your favorite?
Author describing what Pet Heaven is actually like and how happy they are there - it was very healing to hear all that.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When the author explains what happens when animals die in accidental deaths - how they actually leave their bodies before the ripping and tearing starts in their deaths. That was very moving to know my babies weren't mentally and emotionally present in their bodies as they passed.
Any additional comments?
This book has helped me tremendously to imagine where my babies are now - what they are doing and how they continue to visit me in spirit form. I had some signs I thought they were here and her book confirmed that what I had wondered if it was them, was. Very healing.
