The twists and turns!!!!
Revisado: 09-27-20
The twist and turns of this book were DEFINETELY extraordinary! The buildup of the characters and points of view were carrying a very strong presence. Many unexpected turns. The narrator was fantastic. I will recommend but make sure you’re ready to devote a lot of focus to the storyline to keep up.

Historia
Why exactly Charley Bordelon's late father left her eight hundred sprawling acres of sugarcane land in rural Louisiana is as mysterious as it was generous. Recognizing this as a chance to start over, Charley and her 11-year-old daughter, Micah, say good-bye to Los Angeles. They arrive just in time for growing season but no amount of planning can prepare Charley for a Louisiana that's mired in the past: as her judgmental but big-hearted grandmother tells her, cane farming is always going to be a white man's business.

Such a sweet book
Revisado: 09-06-20
This book was beautifully written. It goes through many of the emotions of struggle, determination, self discovery with the main character. It develops into a love story along the way and of course with the setting being in the south lots of race topics also come up. It tugs you’re into the development of the characters as you root for some but pray for others. Very very good book. Excited to watch the series on Hulu as well.

In a performance that combines the personal and poetic with the literary and the lyrical, Grammy, Oscar, Emmy, and Golden Globe-winning artist Common spins something entirely new and bold for both his old-school fans and those new to one of hip-hop’s most essential voices. This is Bluebird Memories, part of Audible's Words + Music that blends storytelling, music, and performance to create a one-of-a-kind listening experience.

Great book
Revisado: 11-28-19
This was a great book. Sci-fi is usually not my genre but I gave it a shot and thoroughly loved it. The similarities between the aliens and the humans all played a great roll in coming together. One of the main characters who was human had an excellent and realistic sixth sense to understanding the foreshadowing of what was going on in the other world. I love how the love interests were interesting and all personalities of the characters stood out. Absolutely love how the two worlds collided in great ways.
Great book. Would

Outstanding emotional rollercoaster
Revisado: 10-10-19
You know, this book was awesome as it truly grabbed every part of my soul and emotion. I can’t remember the last time I cried reading or even listening to a book and here I was doing my chores with my headphones on having to sit down and sob like a baby for like fifteen minutes. This whole story really stresses the importance of checking on one another and not just pushing it aside when you think of someone. We live in day and age that everyone wants to mind their own business and be antisocial and oh what a popular statement it is to say “I hate people” but seriously it stressed the importance of being a village and asking questions and digging deeper if things don’t seem right. This book has given a great view of mental illness. This story has truly tugged at my soul for so many reasons. It might take a while before moving on to the next. Happy reading.
