Oh! I Have Slipped the Surly Bonds of Earth
Revisado: 05-11-21
I was given this free review copy audio-book at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This review is for the audio copy of Turn and Burn-A Fighter Pilot’s Memories and Confessions by Darrell J. Ahrens and narrated by Eric Jason Martin. This story struck a chord with me. I had always wanted to be a fighter pilot. I had WW2 model airplanes all painted in camo with squadron designators and battle damage inflicted on them. They were all hanging from my bedroom ceiling. I ended up in the Navy on submarines, go figure. Anyway, this was a great story for me. I liked the layout and the way the author developed the story, interspersing his training and career path with tales of his flights and experiences. The narration was perfect for this story. I highly recommend this book.

This review is for the audio copy of No One Will Hear Your Screams by Thomas O'Callaghan and narrated by Bill Nevitt. This was outside my normal genre but it is read by Bill Nevitt so I gave it a chance. I was not disappointed. It was a very good, albeit disturbing, novel. It kept me engaged throughout the story. I liked all the good people and really hated the bad ones. It was entertaining because the story was good and made better by the narrator.

Revisado: 01-26-21
I was given this free review copy audio-book at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This review is for the audio copy of Second's Chance by Kwen D. Griffeth and narrated by Paul J. McSorley. This was a very interesting and though provoking story for me. It was very immersive with descriptions of the land, animals and people. I now have high expections for what I have come to expect from a Griffeth novel regarding these descriptions. I enjoyed this story very much and I enjoyed learning about all the different characters in the story and their interactions with each other. Paul does a very good job narrating and brings the characters to life. Between what Kwen is describing and how Paul is reading it, it is like I’m living it in my mind. I highly recommend this work.

Outstanding Novel
Revisado: 01-26-21
I was given this free review copy audio-book at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This review is for the audio copy of Footprints of My Father The Luke Cardiff Series, Book 1 by Kwen D. Griffeth and narrated by Paul J. McSorley. This is the second story I’ve listened to in regards to the Sam Moses world. I didn’t realize it until I was a good way into the story. Then, all of a sudden, I realize this is a continuation of the Moses story line, albeit from the point of view of a different character. Kwen does an excellent job of describing persons, places and on goings. This is an immersive story that grabs your attention from page 1 and never lets you go. So far I have greatly enjoyed every Kwen D. Griffeth story I have listened to. Paul does a very good job narrating and brings the characters to life. It is like I’m living it in my mind. I highly recommend this work.
