Story so well done, I couldn’t stop til the end!
Revisado: 09-02-24
Thank you, Kiki & Kirt for a wonderful sequel/loose continuation of the Kincaid Pack series. As always, Kirt Graves delivers an excellent performance. Characters and story line was tight. However, I need to revisit The Hunter and His Mates, did Jaime, the Redtail Hawk need the “special Tea” to mark his mates? Or, was it instinctual? Either way, thank you for continuing the fun and exciting adventure of Pack Life.

My parents listened to somethin similar in their youth (The Shadow on a dial in radio.) New technology has given us more options. I enjoy not getting lost by two narrators, or talent not able to do more than 2 different voices.
Legally blind, these provide more than entertainment. I’m able to discuss books w/friends.

Historia
Pixies are supposed to be petite, beautifully lithe creatures with gossamer wings. Sporting luscious, ombre pink hair and fluttering pink wings, Phil meets two out of three of those criteria. At over six feet tall, no one would dare call Phil petite. As a home-and-hearth pixie, Phil yearns to find a home and family he can bond to. When no one's willing to hire a pixie of his stature, Phil is forced to find work elsewhere. Turns out, pixies make terrible bouncers.

Perfectly Balanced
Revisado: 02-26-24
My first book by MJ May. I thoroughly enjoyed it except the Narration. Unless a story is “Dramatic “, only ONE Narrator is best. I, like many of my fellow Audiobook fans, feel two voices does a disservice to the Story. That being said, I appreciate a romance author who can make a reader FEEL the emotions/desires of the characters without explicit details. I will listen to a story at least 3 times before I feel I’ve experienced the story as the Author wanted. Looking forward to the next 3 books in this series.

Micah: Constantine Ross is a cocky, provoking little...yeah. And I swear, I'd think that even if his family's business wasn't my biggest competition. It's time someone taught the man a lesson or two about life. At least that's what I tell myself when I offer him a job. Call it my good deed for the year...maybe the century.

I felt The Secret & The Gift storylines overlapped enough to allow both stories in one book. Both stories were great on their own, and if read in order, the reader feels that we are “in on the Secret”. 😉

Story great, Narration…..not so much
Revisado: 10-17-23
Storyline was excellent. Leaving enough “blanks” that will, hopefully, be filled when I reach the final book in this series.
Elizabeth Evans would not be my first choice of Narrator. Her voice doesn’t provide enough variety for the many male characters. I prefer to read, giving the characters their voices. But, disease weakening ocular muscles, I must rely on audiobook narration.

What is this?
Revisado: 08-09-23
1/4 Story, 3/4 repetition. Maas wasn’t ready to write this book or just didn’t care. You cannot clip & paste the same characters saying the same multi-page dialogue to make word count targets and call it done.
I liked the storylines for most support characters from Book 1. Character Ethan should have been left out instead of giving him a cringey obsession. Character Bryce while charmingly snarky in #1, became annoying after learning, too many times NOT to believe her BFF was a stranger.
Not sure I want to get 3rd nook after this mess.

Revisado: 07-05-23
Looking for a new Author and story line. Found a snooze fest. Story was painfully dull, seriously, the mom on the phone for the first 10 chapters was not necessary! Aratare lacks the ability to capture the attention.
Holtan’s Narration was….what’s below subpar?
Sadly, I wasted a credit.

Great ending to a great series
Revisado: 06-27-23
Clark wraps up the Kincaid Pack series as close to perfect as any ending could be.
Graves talent carried this story throughout. I never lost track which character was speaking.
I cried, laughed, and cried more. Eyeshadow what a roller coaster.
(SPOILER) I was truly expecting Jessica to be a minion of their mother. Indeed, I’m still not convinced she’s a good guy, bad guy or just a whiner.
Thank you Kiki & Kurt for a wonderful adventure!
