Historia
Enola Holmes is the much younger sister of her more famous brothers, Sherlock and Mycroft. But she has all the wits, skills, and sleuthing inclinations of them both. When a young professional woman, Miss Letitia Glover, shows up on Sherlock's doorstep, desperate to learn more about the fate of her twin sister, it is Enola who steps up. It seems her sister, the former Felicity Glover, married the earl of Dunhench and, per a curt note from the earl, has died. But Letitia Glover is convinced this isn't the truth, that she'd know - she'd feel - if her twin had died.

Well written and told. I simply adore Enola's adventures and including Sherlock a bit more in this one is a delight!
The new narrator is quite good, too. Still breaks my heart to lose Katherine Kellgren to ovarian cancer. Grateful for all the wonderful books she narrated. ❤

A Human Woman, Flawed and Merciful
Revisado: 03-07-20
The heroine is called Hannah, and I wish all women were more like her. She is not by any means perfect but she is saved by grace and lives accordingly as best she is able. Hannah is merciful and kind to those who hate her. She tries to do the right thing without thought for revenge. She sees her own selfish nature and tries to sent herself aside.
This story is a bit of mystery, a bit of romance, and an excellent picture of a women's life in 1819 England.

Historia
Zachary Quinto - best known for his role as the Nimoy-approved Spock in the recent Star Trek reboot and the menacing, power-stealing serial killer, Sylar, in Heroes - brings his well-earned sci-fi credentials and simmering intensity to this audio-exclusive novella from master storyteller John Scalzi. One day, not long from now, it becomes almost impossible to murder anyone - 999 times out of a thousand, anyone who is intentionally killed comes back. How? We don't know.

Historia
Most monsters know better than to mess with Princess Harriet Hamsterbone. She's a fearsome warrior, an accomplished jouster, and is so convincing that she once converted a beastly Ogrecat to vegetarianism. So why would a pack of weasel-wolf monsters come to her for help? Well, there's something downright spooky going on in the forest where they live, and it all centers around a mysterious girl in a red cape. No one knows better than Harriet that little girls aren't always sweet. Luckily, there's no problem too big or bad for this princess to solve.

A place you will never forget. Rosamunde Pilcher's Scotland...where the fields flourish with greenery, the bills bloom with purple, and the lochs glitter with the bright blue of the sky. A time you will never forget. September...when the heather is in full flower, the first chill of autumn cools the air, and the countryside stirs with the hunt, balls, dinner parties, and dance. LOVE this book. HATE the narration.
Revisado: 01-02-18
I've heard this book before with another narrator (abridged, I think) and loved it, but this narrator is horrible. So shrill on the child and several female characters, and the male characters all sound drunk or like they have learning disabilities. I couldn't finish it because it wad so bad! Such a shame.
