Historia
Science is how we understand the world. Yet failures in peer review and mistakes in statistics have rendered a shocking number of scientific studies useless—or, worse, badly misleading. Such errors have distorted our knowledge in fields as wide-ranging as medicine, physics, nutrition, education, genetics, economics, and the search for extraterrestrial life. As Science Fictions makes clear, the current system of research funding and publication not only fails to safeguard us from blunders but actively encourages bad science—with sometimes deadly consequences.

Historia
To take a skeptical approach to American history is not to dabble in imaginative conspiracy theories; rather, it's to reframe your understanding of this great nation's past and actually strengthen your appreciation for what makes American history such a fascinating chapter in the larger story of Western civilization. And in this bold 24-lecture series, you can do just that.

Well-done in so many ways!
Revisado: 10-20-23
Very useful techniques. Excellent presentations. Solid support for views. Only noticeable questionable aspect: omitting Indian Wars from at least the section on American wars in general, using incorrect, and outdated quote claiming Vietnam as America's "longest war," ignoring Korea and Iraq/Afghanistan in addition to state of war with indigenous peoples.

Doc and his men (most of them) at their best

Grew up reading pulps and listening to radio adventures from my parents' generation. Still love the raw (and rude to the 21st Century) tales of daring and danger. Thank you for combing the two media!

Historia
Born to a pioneering family in Upstate New York in the late 1800s, Allene Tew was beautiful, impetuous, and frustrated by the confines of her small hometown. At eighteen, she met Tod Hostetter at a local dance, having no idea that the mercurial charmer she would impulsively wed was heir to one of the wealthiest families in America. But when he died twelve years later, Allene packed her bags for New York City. Never once did she look back.

Stereotype context material and buzz words to set the time periods. Lindbergh was NOT first to fly Atlantic. Sloppy history.
