Historia
Nick Duerden has spent many years interviewing the most famous musicians on the planet. Without exception, they are at their most interesting when they've peaked, and when they are on their way down. In many ways, this is when these former idols are at their most heroic, too, because they reveal themselves not only to be humane and sensitive, but also still driven to create, to fulfil their lingering dreams, to refuse to live quietly.

Didn't know most of artists
Revisado: 12-03-24
They are mostly well known pop stars in Britain from late 80s through 90s. Interesting enough but thought I might know a few more

Historia
Guy Pratt came of age just as bass playing became sexy. Having dallied with punk legend Sylvain Sylvain, Pratt suddenly found himself on Top of the Pops and supporting David Bowie with smooth Australian outfit Icehouse. He became bass player to the stars, crawling from studio to bar and hotel to stadium Portakabin with the likes of Pink Floyd, Robert Palmer, Womack &Womack and Bryan Ferry. Guy has recorded with everyone from Madonna and Michael Jackson to McFly.

Guy is most entertaining
Revisado: 07-27-23
I have read lots of rock biographies and few are as witty as and well performed as Guy. Admittedly as a 2nd tier figure in the Pantheon of rock you can't expect his experience s to be of historical significance, however most of his memories are very funny and his style of telling has you smiling if not laughing most of the time. Highly Recommended!

Historia
Pioneers of Britain's nascent rock and metal scene back in the late 1970s, Iron Maiden smashed its way to the top, thanks in no small part to the high-octane performances, operatic singing style, and stage presence of its second but twice-longest-serving lead singer, Bruce Dickinson. As Iron Maiden's front man - first from 1981 to 1993 and then from 1999 to the present - Dickinson has been, and remains, a man of legend.

Extremely well done and very interesting listen

His style and content gives you the essence of the man without unnecessary baggage. An amazing life lived to his desires with an honest recognition of mistakes
