Historia
On stage at an awards banquet is the last place Lexi Cole expected to drown. But as she accepts the award for top seller at her realty firm, something unusual catches Lexi’s eye: a man surrounded by a dark haze. Then she hears a woman screaming for help, and the taste of salt water overwhelms her. Just as Lexi’s throat begins to close, the man leaves the room and the sensation of drowning abruptly stops. Later that night, the man dies of an overdose, and Lexi learns about the traumatic boating accident that killed his sons and tore his family apart.

This book is mind-blowing. You can tell the time and effort that was placed into Lexi’s story. Mixing conscious healing within a story is about the new way of writing. This book is forging the way for that relationship between healing, storytelling.

Historia
In virtually every way that can be measured, Gen Z’s mental health is worse than that of previous generations. Youth suicide rates are climbing, antidepressant prescriptions for children are common, and the proliferation of mental health diagnoses has not helped the staggering number of kids who are lonely, lost, sad and fearful of growing up. What’s gone wrong with America’s youth? In Bad Therapy, bestselling investigative journalist Abigail Shrier argues that the problem isn’t the kids—it’s the mental health experts.

Just don't
Revisado: 03-24-24
I understand what the author was trying to get across but this was a HUGE miss. A lawyer trying to debunk therapy… that should have been my first red flag. Don't read it. Don't waste your money. I was enraged and the chapters went on and on.

Historia
In The Collapse of Parenting, Leonard Sax, an acclaimed expert on parenting and childhood development, identifies a key problem plaguing American children, especially relative to other countries: the dramatic decline in young people's achievement and psychological health. The root of this problem, Sax contends, lies in the transfer of authority from parents to their children, a shift that has been occurring over the last 50 years and is now impossible to ignore.
