Story was good, Narrator not so much

While I enjoyed the story and how it was written, I struggled very much to finish this due to the narrator's clipped speech, over-enunciation, and monotonous tone moderation.
As much as a good story can carry itself, whoever reads through the material can impact the experience just as much as a poorly written and prepared book. I won't be able to push through another one of these narrator's books. It was just too much for me.
Reading the book would be viable as it's a good story.

Love the Story, Narration Jarring

I really love listening to Kevin Pierce's narrations, but the female reading of the victim's correspondence is so jarring, it sounds like a computer voice reading. With Kevin's depth and ability to translate the feelings of multiple characters, it would have been far better just letting Kevin narrate.
Thankfully, the other narrator's parts are very few and far between, so it's worth it to listen through.

Ok, first off i'm a real stickler for narrators. Ray won me over right away. I LOVE his delivery and I love his portrayal of the characters in Dennis' book. I'm not sure if it's because I know Dennis is in the tech sector doing the same thing a lot of us do, but I find his ideas, his mind, all his dreams are very easily comparable to my own. This man knows how to tell stories. This book, and the whole series, actually, brought to life so many wonderful visuals, so many heart aching moments, so many times I actually laughed out loud, I can't think of a better way to engage in storytelling. Bob and Co.'s conclusion here is poetic and real. I loved the whole thing. If you're looking for excitement, this has it in spades.

I'm finding this really hard. The premise is plausible, the story starts kind of compelling, but the narrator is ruining this for me. Why does he have to draw out certain words? Like "wanted-uh" or "look-ed-uh". His tone doesn't help and he doesn't seem to modulate at all. It's almost like anyone with a deeper voice thinks they can just gravel through a book and we'll love it. Sorry, not the way it works. Especially if you have to say a "D" sound like so enunciated-uh that it's distracting tot the story. Way too much happens in this for me to start to care about the characters. More development would've helped.

Mr Sigler's performance was grating. The story was ok, but he is obviously obsessed with football and that comes through to the detriment of the story.
When you hear the author talking as a Hispanic female with a really bad accent and no tone, you realize this is what that character sounds like in the author's mind. irritating.
