KM Shea is a go-to author for fun and sweet fantasy/romance/supernatural stories. Pip and Greyson’s story is definitely one of my favorites! The narrator is good at doing the many character voices etc., but whenever a character had an internal monologue she had a tendency to get *super* quiet and soft, which made it difficult to understand (especially in a car where background noise is unavoidable).

Will definitely be downloading more Audible books by this author!

I was impressed with this narrator in The Lunar Chronicles for keeping track of all the characters and their voices, but this book takes the cake. She gives each character a distinct voice and personality, which really helps build the dramatic tension!

The story is fascinating, and you can't help but hope that somehow things will resolve in a happy ending...even though the Queen of Hearts as we meet her in Alice in Wonderland is a far cry from the girl we meet at the beginning of this story.

Not quite as engrossing as Lunar Chronicles, but the world building is great and keeps in line with what we would expect from Wonderland while simultaneously being new and inventive.

Looking forward to more books by this author!

This story was very fun, and had a new story element I've never seen in a P&P variation before--the author had the Bennet family actually like Darcy before Elizabeth! Overall, it was well written and developed, and my only complaint is that there are far too few scenes
between Elizabeth and Darcy. Her change of heart has more to do with reports of how he treats her family and staff, rather than personal observation. There are some paragraphs that mention they spend the evening playing games and having lively discussions, but, unfortunately, we don't get any more details. A nice story for all the side characters--just wish it had a little more interaction between the main characters!

Out of the many P&P variations I have read, this is by far my favorite! Many variations, while fun, have Darcy and Lizzy constantly at odds, usually with Elizabeth angry for most of the book. This one manages to have them still misunderstanding each other, but not constantly angry--giving way to engaging conversations and soft moments throughout, even while you're still waiting for them to truly come together. The style is much more like Austen's as well (if a little more descriptive and wordy), and the result is a book that truly feels like the characters of P&P took a detour, but still ended up in the same great location. A sweet, innocent romance, and a fun journey!
