Historia
In the rigid theocracy of Salem, Massachusetts, rumors that women are practicing witchcraft galvanize the town. In a searing portrait of a community engulfed by panic—with ruthless prosecutors, and neighbors eager to testify against neighbor—The Crucible famously mirrors the anti-Communist hysteria that held the United States in its grip in the 1950’s.

I don't know if it was the narrator or the writing of this novel. I could not get into this book at all. I had to stop a few hours in.

Not as good. Hard to push through.
Revisado: 08-29-21
I loved the first novel and was really looking forward to listening to this one. The narration was hard to listen to. The narrator sounded so clinical. Like he would string together sentences and end with a hard stop. Very boring and hard to follow, although I am sure the novel is great. I will return this book and not follow the narrator. I rarely leave bad reviews, but I had to for this one.

This book was missing something. It was a bit of a struggle to get through. But the narrator was pretty good. the story line was lacking and it seemed to end abruptly.

Intriguing read!
Revisado: 05-31-19
This novel has a wonderful plot. It was an easy read. I loved the culture of the Mexico that Carrie's through. The only thing I would change are the narrators' annunciation in speaking Spanish. It would have pulled me in more and would have made it more enjoyable. Better pronunciation and annunciation would have given this novel 5 stars!

Historia
It’s rumoured that Dickens wanted to return to his classic novel Oliver Twist, to bring him back into a later book as an older character, but he never managed this before he died. However, if Oliver had returned, what would he have been like? Would the scars of his childhood affect the man he would become? And what of ‘Dodger’, sent to a land halfway around the world, his friend, mentor and master dead because of Oliver? Dodge & Twist is that story. The tale of two boys, 12 years later, returning into each other’s lives - for both good and bad.

Revisado: 12-15-18
I loved this book! It was very well written. It kept me on the edge if my seat the whole time. The characters are multi-dimensional and vibrantly strong, innocent, dark and well used in the storyline. If you like Stephen King or Joe Hill then you will eat this up. The narrator is Amazing!!!
