Historia
In Miracles and Mayhem in the ER, Dr. Brent Russell shares true-life stories of his early days as an emergency room doctor. Contemplative and oftentimes hilarious, Dr. Russell leads the listener through the glass doors and down the narrow halls of the ER where desperate patients, young and old, come to get well. Occasionally heart wrenching and always fast-paced, Miracles and Mayhem in the ER will have listeners holding their breath one second and celebrating the next.

Historia
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to find yourself strapped to a giant rocket that's about to go from zero to 17,500 miles per hour? Or to look back on Earth from outer space and see the surprisingly precise line between day and night? Or to stand in front of the Hubble Space Telescope, wondering if the emergency repair you're about to make will inadvertently ruin humankind's chance to unlock the universe's secrets? Mike Massimino has been there, and in Spaceman he puts you inside the suit.

Truely one of the best books i have ever heard
Revisado: 03-12-18
What did you love best about Spaceman?
The prelude tells you all you need to know about this book. It captivates you, and when the prelude is over I said to myself wow, I felt like I just flew on the shuttle. the author describes his flight experience in incredible detail and in such a way it makes you feel like are there with him. Again I would highly recommend this book.
What does Mike Massimino bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
he presents himself as a regular guy that worked hard to become his dream , an astronaut. To hear the story from the actual guy who did the flights and spacewalks gives you a level of detail and knowledge you just wouldn't get from anyone else. he was great and his reading was fabulous too.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The prelude. The book starts with Mike blasting into space and him describing every detail of what it is like to fly on the shuttle. I felt like I was right with him.

At six-foot-four-inches and 375 pounds, Jack Garcia looked the part of a mobster, and he played his part so perfectly that his Mafia bosses never suspected he was an undercover agent for the FBI. "Big Jack Falcone," as he was known inside La Cosa Nostra, learned all the inside dirt about the Gambino organized crime syndicate and its illegal activities---from extortion and loan-sharking to assault and murder.

Great Listen!!
Revisado: 06-28-17
What made the experience of listening to Making Jack Falcone the most enjoyable?
i found this book excellent. The reader was fabuolus which is probably the most important part of an audio book for me. The only bad part was once again finding out how bad the FBI is and how not to trust them.
What other book might you compare Making Jack Falcone to and why?
Scores - there are mentions of scores case and they share some names between the 2 books
Which character – as performed by Dick Hill – was your favorite?
jack falcone and greg depalma
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
yes, the ending where the FBI looks extemely incompitant.

Historia
Meet Michael Blutrich, mild-mannered New York lawyer and founder of Scores, the hottest strip club in New York City history, funded by the proceeds of an insurance embezzlement scheme. All Blutrich wanted was to lay low, make the club a success, and put his criminal acts behind him. But the Mafia got involved, and soon the FBI came knocking. Scores became wildly popular, in part thanks to Blutrich's ability to successfully bend the rules of adult entertainment. Unfortunately for Blutrich, it would all soon implode.

I really enjoyed this book. If you like mafia stories this is an instant classic. Read by Michael very well also. Hunt and Conway hopefully will get their karma someday. Listen to the book and you will understand my last statement

The dead talk - to the right listener. They can tell us all about themselves: where they came from, how they lived, how they died, and, of course, who killed them. Forensic scientists can unlock the mysteries of the past and help serve justice using the messages left by a corpse, a crime scene, or the faintest of human traces.

Buyer beware
Revisado: 05-18-17
What would have made Forensics better?
I would have selected a narrator without such a heavy accent. it was extremely distracting and I didn't finish the book due to it.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Sarah Barron?
anyone without such an accent
Any additional comments?
I usually always listen to a sample before I buy. this one I didn't and was my mistake. The premise of the book is great however the narrators accent was just too distracting for me. I could not get pass the first chapter.
