Why?
Revisado: 08-05-20
I love Richard Rohr’s writings and his conversational style of teaching. Unfortunately the narrator completely destroys any hopes of actually paying attention to this book. Why deliberately pick someone who does not even come close to Richard’s delivery style?

Historia
In his decades as a globally recognized teacher, Richard Rohr has helped millions realize what is at stake in matters of faith and spirituality. Yet Rohr has never written on the most perennially talked about topic in Christianity: Jesus. Most know who Jesus was, but who was Christ? Drawing on scripture, history, and spiritual practice, Rohr articulates a transformative view of Jesus Christ as a portrait of God’s constant, unfolding work in the world.

Great theology... dry performance
Revisado: 09-18-19
Just discovering Richard Rohr and he’s helping me make sense of Christianity. The book, while challenging much of my former Evangelical-Pentecostal doctrine, is guiding me through much new theological territory. That said, after watching Fr. Rohr on several YouTube videos, why was such an amazing communicator replaced with so dry and sterile a narrator for this book? It’s difficult to listen to more than a few minutes at a time.

Less than engaging
Revisado: 08-15-16
The tips given here are decent motivators. However, they are completely eclipsed by the narrator's endless droll reading-the-script style. If I gave a presentation at work like this, everyone would be texting on their cell phones, talking or falling asleep. Ugh.

Very effective
Revisado: 07-10-14
Where does Subliminal Self Help rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Slim forever works better for me than all of the other self hypnosis audiobooks out there.
What did you like best about this story?
It is full very positive affirmations that I listen to several times a day to keep me on track and replace so many of the old negative messages I used to use to bring myself down.
Have you listened to any of the narrator’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I don't actually listen to the subliminal help chapter because of the music. Instead, I stick to the audio affirmations and can listen to it while driving or working around the house without falling asleep.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I always feel better, more positive and motivated after listening to this.

Historia
The only published novel of Wilde,The Picture of Dorian Gray is considered one of the last works of classic gothic horror fiction with a strong Faustian theme. It deals with the artistic movement of the decadents, and homosexuality, both of which caused some controversy when the book was first published. However, in modern times, the book has been referred to as "one of the modern classics of Western literature."

good reading - poor sound quality
Revisado: 07-11-09
I really enjoyed the reader but the sound quality was extremely inconsistant, often resulting in sporatic muffled sound.
