By age thirty, Stephanie Foo was successful on paper: She had her dream job as an award-winning radio producer at This American Life and a loving boyfriend. But behind her office door, she was having panic attacks and sobbing at her desk every morning. After years of questioning what was wrong with herself, she was diagnosed with complex PTSD—a condition that occurs when trauma happens continuously, over the course of years.

Historia
Princess describes the life of Princess Sultana Al Sa'ud, a princess in the royal house of Saudi Arabia. Hidden behind her black veil, she is a prisoner, jailed by her father, her husband, and her country. Sultana tells of appalling oppressions, everyday occurrences that in any other culture would be seen as shocking human rights violations: 13-year-old girls forced to marry men five times their age; young women killed by drowning, stoning, or isolation in the "women's room". Princess is a testimony to a woman of indomitable spirit and courage.

always learning
Revisado: 03-01-22
Brene Brown has incredible insight from her observation and research. No one has ever put things so straight, with such vulnerability in a way I can say "I get it!". Learning my life lessons has never been explained clearer for me to learn and take action.
working with the memory impaired I find that you cannot always read their emotions either however connections of touch, safety and love help settle even the most scared confused person. we all struggle in life to be loved. Brene finally makes us understand we need to love ourselves first.
