This was a decent book on understanding some differences between China's economy and that of the West. I thought the sections on the one child policy effects and the debt based vs equity based economies were interesting and gave a new perspective. However this books goes too easy on China and doesn't really address the elephants in the room with censorship and strict government controls.

The author said that a lot of international students return to China and do not stay in the US - this is because it is extremely hard to stay in the US and not because they want to return to China. The book also claims people can go after the government and win in court and social media which is very far from the truth. China has many pros like safety but during my time in China the constant surveillance and fear of saying the wrong thing about the CCP is very apparent. There is a reason why most people would rather live in the US vs China.

If you are looking for a book that provides insight into the China economy this is worth the listen but take it with a grain of salt. For a look into the CCP and the untalked about part of China control I would recommend the audiobook "Party of One"

This was a super fun listen, it was cool to see how NFL fans in England started tracking data for fun and it became something much bigger. The NFL has already changed so much with analytics and as I watched SNF with Cris Collinsworth and saw the PFF grades for each player I smiled and thought about this book. It even made watching the game a bit more fun and had me guessing and paying attention to the play calls and analytics a bit more. It made me respect the PFF system more and in the future I will pay closer attention to their grades.

I'm a big hockey fan so have always respected the greatness of Crosby and this book was put together super well. The audio calls from games, the interviews and insight from Crosby himself made this a great listen. Learned some fun facts about the Penguins organization and how they went through some growing pains as well.

Predictable story with a lot of fluff. I remember liking the Monk who Sold His Ferrari but I wasn't a fan of this book. It's not bad information but mostly just a lot of regurgitated self help tidbits.

I had never heard of Trevor Noah before listening to this audible book. It's not the typical book I would listen to but I saw the high reviews and figured it was worth a listen. Just getting a perspective of someone who grew up in South Africa as a mixed-race person was very insightful and his language and humor skills shine throughout the book. Give it a listen!

Great insight into the Sackler family and how they contributed to the opioid and drug problem that is still ravaging the world today. I had never heard of them before listening to this book. It started a bit slow but by the end I was glad that I listened all the way through. It goes to show what money and influnce/power can do even in the United States.

I was a Florio fan so had high hopes for this title. After a few chapters I ended up returning the book which I almost never do on audible. If you want a book where Florio preaches his holier than thou attitude and gets upset because he thinks the draft is anti-American (the NFL is not capitalist, they share their revenues and without it there would be no salary cap duh) and is mad because the draft is held as an event and not sent out on a group text then this is the book for you. He even gets upset over the fact that the Commissioner announces the names at the draft instead of some actor or celebrity.

It's mostly just his opinion and things he doesn't like about the league. I just finished my first football book called The League, also on audible, which was much better and a great historical account of football without the opinions.

My advice if you are an NFL fan - find a different book! Nothing new here.

I read the reviews before purchasing this title and the book was much better than anticipated. The only thing I didn't like was his constant talk about his sh*ts after weigh ins.

This is more of a memoir about a players journey through the NFL as mostly a backup player. Good inside knowledge that would not be published if it wasn't anonymous. In the beginning it was hard to relate but as you learned more about his story you began to root for him more and more and it just goes to show that we are all human and once you learn someone's story you can relate to them much better.

I pre-ordered this book after seeing it recommended on a YouTube video I happened to see and I was pleasantly surprised. The authors dive into the myth that success is either all luck or all hard work, it’s actually a combination of both and based on unfair advantages we all have. Life isn’t fair and that’s how reality works, so accepting the fact and utilizing your strengths is definitely good advice. I loved the stories of various entrepreneurs and how they utilized their unfair advantages. That being said this book is geared towards startup founders but can be applied in many other areas of life.
