Loved this book!!!

I’m so glad I took a chance on this thrilling novel! Set on an all-female science expedition in Antarctica, the story is packed with suspense, political intrigue, and sapphic drama. From the extreme temperature setting to the intense character dynamics, I couldn’t put this book down.

Jo, the lead character, is compelling and relatable, and her journey through the unfolding mystery kept me hooked. The plot twists and tension between the characters made for an exciting and unpredictable read.

The combination of mystery, hint of romance, and political intrigue felt fresh and unique, a true standout in the genre. I really hope the author writes a sequel! There could be so much more to explore, and I’d love to see what’s next for Jo. If you’re looking for a gripping, entertaining read, this book delivers!

Love the Book, The Audiobook Not So Much

So I read this book a while back and really enjoyed it. When the audiobook came out I do what I typically do and just download the books I enjoyed reading. I am not a fan of the narrator. This is really personal preference. If you are a fan of this narrator this will be a great listen for you. The book is great.

One of My Favorites

I read this book often. I own the book in ebook form (both the original version, and the newest edition with several changed scenes, the paperback version, and now the audiobook. This is what I call my vacation book, I read it almost every single time I take a trip. It is for sure in my top 5 all time favorites. I love reading novels about the old west.. or really anything even close to it. The audiobook version was great. I listened to it on my commute over a few days, and one work travel day. It is a long book so you end up with a bit over 15 hours of listening. It is well worth your one credit. You get a lot of listening time for that one credit. I wasn't bored at all and think Hayden Bishop did a fantastic job. The only voice I wasn't fond of was Brody's and I dislike that character anyway. She does Luke's and Nora's voice perfectly though. If you haven't read this book you are really missing out. Even if you are not a western fan, or even a historical fiction fan it is still a great read.

Great Addition to this Series

I absolutely love Frame's books, and especially this series. I enjoyed getting to see more of Bea and George in this one. While I enjoyed both Quincy and Holly, Bea and George are still the best couple in the series. I could keep reading about them for several more books. Frame writes incredibly sexy butch characters. She has it down, and for me it works. As this is book 3 in the series, I think these books are best enjoyed in order. I see how perhaps you could skip book 2... but why would you want to do that? Read them in order. If you haven't read any of these, pick all 3 up today. For me I think this may be my favorite in the series, but I enjoyed them all. I actually enjoyed both book 1 and 2 more on my second reading of them.

Great Audiobook

I enjoyed this one from start to finish. Love a bit of ice queen, slow burn romance, in a hospital setting. The main characters and secondary characters are likable. Abby Craden narrating is always a pleasure. So worth your time. I will be listening to this one over and over.

I Read the Series before Buying the Audiobook

So I read all three books in the series, and they are fantastic. Jessica Webb is an awesome author. I purchased the audiobooks because I enjoyed the books so much. Ruby Rivers voice drove me nuts. I couldn't listen to them. I purchased all three audiobooks at the same time, and all are done by her. Her voice is fine, but it whistles... and my ears hurt. It didn't bother my wife at all and she listened to all three books and loved them. I gave up. I would listen to a sample because it appears the narrator is hit or miss depending on the individual. The books are worth picking up though.

I like the idea of a animal rescue, most of us are suckers for our pets.

Abby Craden is my favorite narrator. I could listen to her all day.
