Be sure to listen to the entirety of this book including the acknowledgements. A fantastic book bringing the rugged grit of Alaskan life to those of us in the lower 48. The final few chapters tugged at the heart and brought me to tears. Marvelous novel. Thank you for the great love story of Alaska.

Depicts Depression as "Spiritual Issue"

I really did not enjoy this book at all. I am being generous with a two perhaps because I feel like my rating may be emotionally based. It feels like a conspiracy theory book about anti-depressants. Hari ends the book stating that depression is a "Spiritual issue" and you're depressed because of your circumstances so change your circumstances. What about those who are unable to change this aspect of their life? I am worried those on medications will take this message to heart and stop their much needed treatment.

This book has heavy religious content which I was unaware of prior to the purchase. Would have been nice to know there would be religion in this book. That being said, there are a few good gems and Rachel did share from some personal experiences, but I wasn't blown away.

Come and his life

I enjoyed listening to Comey's life story. I did not enjoy a lot of his "what if" scenarios. I felt they took away from true events. Otherwise, worth listening to to get a better understanding of our current state of events.

Manic Depressive Memoir

I ordered this book after hearing it had high reviews. I was under the impression that the author would be discussing bipolar disorder. But, instead, the author narrated her personal story with manic depression. The author narrates with such a monotone that it was a difficult listen and not enticing. It was only a short 3 hour listen.

Excellent Series on Unsolved Crime

This series was intriguing, informative, and well done. The storyline was easy to follow and the names and events of the tragedy in West Cork is something worth following up on. Great work narrating and incorporating interviews..

Lost in the Metaphors

I enjoy Brene Brown and listening to her book was a little different. I've seen and listened to her Ted Talks and got a lot from them. I feel this audio book may be worth a few listens because I got caught up and lost in the metaphors a few different times. Still, I took some quotes away that stuck with me about belonging. Looking forward to listening to this one again!

Great Radio Conversations

I learned so much from this audio file! Martin Sheen narrating was icing on the cake. The radio interviews and historical follow up was phenomenal. Great work and definitely worth the listen.
