As a man I found it very good, and not just talking about the erotica. Once the back story started to unfold I got into it. The erotic scene were well crafted, I could imagine my girl experiencing that.

First time reader surprised how good it turned out to be

This was my first Anne Rice book, recommended by a friend with no set up on what it might be like. Overall I was thrilled by the story. The author’s detailed descriptions get a little long winded sometimes, and her style is different than others I have read. Regardless I purchased the second book upon completing this one.

Has potential

Story starts off jumping around. I do like how the author incorporates several conspiracy theories into the story. As the story gets going you get drawn in. The ending is kinda a after school story moral.
That all said I hope there’s a sequel or series out this. It has potential of a good movie.

If you’re a Dan Brown fan skip this

This was recommended to me because I have read all the Dan Brown books. Very little similarities in authors. I started reading this but had trouble getting into it so I switched to audio book. Spoiler alert the book ends with a follow book. More than half way through the book I could careless if the characters lived or died. The narrator did an ok job, although his voice range seemed slightly limited as the characters voices seemed to blend together.

If not a Black Panther fan you won’t fully enjoy

I am a Marvel fan, movies, books, comic books, etc. but the Black Panther is low ranking on my favorites. But I picked this up before seeing the latest movie. The story just didn’t hold my interest.

Covers Avengers from the comic books only

Arts of this audiobook were very interesting and intriguing, but too many other areas for me to only give it three stars. None of the marvel movies are mentioned in this, so, if you have no knowledge of the comic book face of the avengers, you will not be interested at all.

Short and slightly different

I had just rewatched all the Iron Man movies and thought I would listen to the audio versions. There are several differences mostly minor ones but in thinking that the story was written before the movie you can see how Marvel and actors like RDJ added or changed things. Iron Man 1 was good in story and length, 2 was short and rushed, 3 was the most different. If you are a diehard fan, it’s worth a listen. But if you’re a casual fan it could be a pass.

Good insightful but repetitive

The information is insightful but repetitive and could be told in half the time. Majority of back setting is from the comic book storyline Civil War. There is some information crossing over into the Marvel movies but it seems stuck on the Civil war aspect from the comics.
In short, would I listen to this again No; would I recommend it to anyone No.

Mini movie in your head.

For the record I preferred the Marvel movie version. But I enjoyed this version.
I am used to just 1 narrator doing all the characters in a book I was taken back to hear multiple narrators, music, and even sound effects. I am lucky enough to be listen to this as I work and definitely made my day go my faster and more enjoyable.
