Loved the Performance, storyline keeps you guessing. Might be directed at YA audience, but is not immature writing.

Historia
After Tova Sullivan’s husband died, she began working the night shift at the Sowell Bay Aquarium, mopping floors and tidying up. Keeping busy has always helped her cope, which she’s been doing since her eighteen-year-old son, Erik, mysteriously vanished on a boat in Puget Sound over thirty years ago. Tova becomes acquainted with curmudgeonly Marcellus, a giant Pacific octopus living at the aquarium. Marcellus knows more than anyone can imagine but wouldn’t dream of lifting one of his eight arms for his human captors—until he forms a remarkable friendship with Tova.

The story is a feel good story without a lot of depth. It’s a nice mindless listen, which I think we all need once in a while.

Historia
Seven-year-old Wen and her parents, Eric and Andrew, are vacationing at a remote cabin on a quiet New Hampshire lake. Their closest neighbors are more than two miles in either direction along a rutted dirt road. One afternoon, as Wen catches grasshoppers in the front yard, a stranger unexpectedly appears in the driveway. Leonard is the largest man Wen has ever seen, but he is young, friendly, and he wins her over almost instantly. Leonard and Wen talk and play until Leonard abruptly apologizes and tells Wen, “None of what’s going to happen is your fault.”

Waste of time
Revisado: 10-29-22
It started out well, but there were so many rambling speeches where nothing is actually explained. I kept waiting for it to make sense, or for something to happen but it didn’t. It was just a lot of talking about the same thing over and over and over. I didn’t personally have a problem with the narrator, but I didn’t read the reviews before so I wasn’t prejudiced. I did finish it although I wish I B would have quit about halfway through. Save your time and credits on this one.

Historia
Nobody knew where it came from. Nobody knew why it came. When an eight-foot-tall man made of stone appears in the middle of a busy city center one July afternoon, two-bit (and antisocial) reporter Andy Pointer assumes it's just a publicity stunt. Indeed, so does everyone else...until the Stone Man begins to walk, heading silently through the wall of the nearest building, flattening it, and killing several people inside as a result.

The story is interesting and not heavy with tech talk. Really enjoyed the narrator. I’ll be looking into this authors other books.

Historia
As if Alexandra Lucas' anxiety disorder isn't enough, mysterious holograms suddenly appear from the sky, heralding the end of the world. They bring an ultimatum: Heed the warning and step through a portal-like vortex to safety, or stay and be destroyed by a comet they say is on a collision course with Earth. How's that for senior-year stress?

A teenage girl awakens to find herself trapped in a coffin. She has no idea who she is, where she is, or how she got there. Beyond their room lies a corridor filled with bones and dust but no people and no answers. She knows only one thing about herself - her name, M. Savage, which was engraved on the foot of her coffin. She finds herself in charge. She is not the biggest among them or the boldest, but for some reason the others trust her.

Not at all what I expected
Revisado: 07-21-15
The story is very amateur sounding. The narration was extremely over done. At times when the people are just talking, the narrator made it sound like they were excited or arguing. I listened to the whole thing, though I don't remember most of it. I kept drifting out of the story because it was so hard to listen to the terrible narration and predictable story line.

Kinda creepy
Revisado: 07-13-15
Could have been better narrated. This book seemingly has all the right ingredients, but I didn't find myself scared or getting chills. There were some creepy parts, but they felt more like someone describing an incident to you, rather than feeling like you were there watching it all happen.
