The story line is good but the protagonist talks about wanting sex so much the character stops being a badass and turns into a 16 year old horny boy. Truly ridiculous

the narrator is good, and the storyline is, but the main character is only 20. she was homeless before meeting her friend, and they opened a business . her age is too distracting when phrases like" worked so hard for" are used. at least they should have been in their late 20's. few are so composed at any age but very unlikely at 20. I liked the story otherwise though.

I listen to all of her books , including LILLY HARPER HART. I have no idea why, though. All of her books are the same. The characters even eat the same food. I hate the way the men tend to treat women like children but are always talking about having sex.. the narrator is truly awful. listen at your own risk.

not sure why I finished it. gay romance isn't my thing and the constant talk about sex wnt too far .the actual storyline was mostly buried under the snarky sex talk. I won't get the next book.

I didn't love it but didn't hate it. the main character is somewhat whiney and petty. she is overall a good person though. what really irritated me was the inconsistencies. I have listened to 3 books and they all start and end the same. she doesn't want to use magic because it's cheating. then she's ok with it.the next book she doesn't want to again and for the same reason. it's like she never decided to learn more at the end of the last book. the narrator doesn't do well with most of the voices. she also makes the protagonist more irritating than if you were to read it yourself. so yeah the narrator is awful.

I got to the 2nd book but can't go any further. the narrator almost sounds like she's slurring her words. I can't get past the age difference between the characters either. then the double standard at the end just irrated too much. I'm done with the rest of the series.

I liked the series until this book. it was sex. no teal story line. the narrator was really good though.

I loved the story line. I didn't love the narrator. she was stiff at times and over pronounced words. other words she dropped the gs in ing to sound more southern im guessing but it was annoying. I liked the story enough to finish the books but I won't listen to her again.

the narrator is too soft spoken and does not do voices well. the story itself just drops you in with no background. the protagonist is too weak for the strong position she is supposed to be in.
