In Anne Rice's surprising and compelling best-selling novel, the first of her strange and mythic imagining of the world of wolfen powers, readers and listeners were spellbound as Rice conjured up a daring new world set against the wild and beckoning California coast.

Waiting for #3
Revisado: 08-15-15
I enjoyed this second book...the story was not as boring as I feared it might be after reading reviews. I have always enjoyed Anne Rice. The one little thing I noticed toward the end of the book was the narrator was overlapping or blending some of the character voices that had been so distinct before.

Love it so far, except...
Revisado: 04-15-15
We haven't finished this book yet, but my son loves listening to the adventures of Henry and Ribsy while we're driving. We often have to sit in the driveway to finish a chapter. My only complaint, just minor, is the switching of narrators. I'm sure my 5 yo didn't mind, but I would have liked just one, preferably Neil Patrick Harris.

My 5 year old is absolutely loving listening to this in the car! He keeps asking to 'turn on my book' as soon as we get in the car to go some place. I bought this first one because I wanted to see if he'd like it. I've bought a few other kids books for road trips and they were alright but did not get this response. I'm even enjoying it. I will be purchasing the collection!

An enjoyable if not predictable book. A good escape. The narration is not bad, but I enjoyed the voices of the characters much more from the narrator of Relic. And of course I will be continuing the series.

Revisado: 11-23-14
What would have made Daughter of Time: A Time Travel Romance better?
choosing a different narrator.
What could Sarah Woodbury have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Probably not much, I just couldn't get past the narration to see how the book went.
How could the performance have been better?
Different Narrator! The voice sounded so halted, staccato.it seemed like there was a period in between each word to me.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
I don't know, I did not finish it.

I read this book years ago and enjoyed it. And now listening to it was just as good. I had forgotten the details of the story and the narrator brought it all back so vividly! I have a long commute to and from work and there were days I just didn't want to get out of my car so I could keep listening.

enjoyable...until the end
Revisado: 10-05-14
I enjoyed this book. It took me some time to get used to the narrators thick accent. good story. But the end....for me it just didnt flow. I kept rewinding thinking I had skipped something, but no. It was like the author was in a hurry to end the story. I was considering purchasing the next book in the series, but I'm hesitant.

Silly short stories
Revisado: 10-05-14
Where does The Yellow Kangaroo and other Fabulous Creatures rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Somewhere in the middle. I purchased this for my 5yo son, so we can listen on car trips.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Consistant recording volume. Some of the stories are recorded at a lower volume, so when the next one comes on it's too loud.
Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?
My son loves the Kangaroo story, and I think it's my favorite too.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
nope
Any additional comments?
This is a collection of silly childrens stories, and I mean that in a good way. We enjoy them for what they are, we laugh and giggle at them. The kangaroo story is our favorite, but the more we listen, the more he likes the others as well.
