Humanity is on the brink of annihilation. Only one man can turn the tide. For centuries, we explored the stars and settled new worlds. But a mysterious alien threat emerged, launching devastating attacks and seizing entire star systems. Every fifty years they come, silent and relentless, before disappearing again into the dark. Almost a great book
Revisado: 12-16-24
The story had great potential, but got bogged down with the author’s repetetive descriptions, and back backstory. This was compounded by poor narration.

Historia
Human laws do not apply in the territory controlled by the Others - vampires, shape-shifters, and paranormal beings even more deadly. And this is a fact that humans should never, ever forget.... After her divorce, Vicki DeVine took over a rustic resort near Lake Silence - in a human town that is not human controlled. Towns like Vicki's have no distance from the Others, the dominant predators that rule most of the land and all of the water throughout the world. And when a place has no boundaries, you never really know what's out there watching you.

As the Commonwealth produces more starships and increases recruits, victory begins to slip from Theocratic control. This can only make the Theocracy more desperate to win...and more dangerous to fight. After a mission to liberate an occupied planet ends in nuclear devastation, Kat Falcone - now a commodore in command of HMS Queen Elizabeth - sees firsthand just how far the enemy will go.

Not Nuttall's best effort.
Revisado: 06-03-17
Desperate Fire: Angel in the Whirlwind, Book 4 was overly formulaic even for the genre, and had no notable character development. The plot was full of inconsistences and the emotions so prominently featured in the story fell flat. In short Angle in the whirlwind was not Mr Nuttall’s best effort.

good but looses its self in the middle
Revisado: 07-15-13
Would you consider the audio edition of Green to be better than the print version?
I have not read the print version.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
better than the middle of the book where it lost its self
Have you listened to any of Katherine Kellgren’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Just as good as always
