Historia
After the attack that ended her modeling career, Tess O'Neil wants only to feel safe. She thinks she's found a sanctuary on a Nevada ranch, where she can live in solitude. Too bad rancher Zach Nolan isn't getting the message. The single dad wants to lease her land, and he won't quit until she says yes. That means he's always around! Letting the cowboy with the see-right-through-her baby blues into her life is too dangerous. Almost as dangerous as the wild hope and yearning Zach and his three daughters are awakening in Tess. She's already risked so much. Maybe it's time to take the biggest gamble of all....

Audiobook Missing Epilogue
Revisado: 06-09-13
Would you try another book from Jeannie Watt and/or Alexandra Bailey?
No. This author and narrator are not worth a second chance. The narrator just read the book, with little variation in male ane female voices.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Most of the story was spent repeating the setup: widowed man with massive financial problems and woman with a scar who was rude, mean to children, and self-pitying. Enough already! The last few chapters have some action, but no resolution of the issues. An epilogue, missing in the audiobook, explains a few things, but not all.

Historia
CJ's father, Charles Webber, had been a real bastard all her life. And when her mom died he'd told her that without Becky there to make him acknowledge CJ as his daughter, he was finished with her and she was never to darken his door again. The slap that bloodied her mouth at her mom's funeral had been more than enough to make his point. So she didn't, not even to come home to his funeral. Austin Force wanted the property that the prick Webber owned. He wanted it for his pack and the house for his mom to call hers.

Poor Audio Quality, So-So Narrator
Revisado: 05-24-13
What would have made Force of Nature better?
Better story, better narrator, better audio quality.
Has Force of Nature turned you off from other books in this genre?
Not at all. There are some excellent series in this genre, such as those by Patricia Briggs, Jeaniene Frost, Lora Leigh, and Lara Adrian.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Little variation in voices. Plus, recording quality was so poor I could not finish listening to the audiobook and just finished reading the book on my Kindle. I even downloaded the book again just to see if the download was flawed. It still sounded as if the recording was done in a well.
Any additional comments?
The premise of the book sounded so promising but the execution left much to be desired. The story seemed to flip-flop, undecided on what direction it would take. The main characters were not very likeable, the male lead spending most of the book being as ass; the female lead, a spoiled brat.

Historia
Vampire bounty hunter Morgan Bailey wants three things for her birthday: cupcakes, a little action from her sexy new boyfriend, and a good night’s sleep. After the year she’s had, is a quiet celebration really so much to ask? Apparently…yes. It turns out a psychotic sidhe - a subspecies of fae - is running amok in Portland, and it’s up to Morgan to take him down. There’s just one problem: this fairy is as powerful as he is psychotic. And considering the supernatural nut jobs Morgan has dealt with, that’s saying something.

What a disappointment...
Revisado: 04-29-13
Would you try another book from Shéa MacLeod and/or Emily Sutton-Smith?
No. The first two books in the series held promise, but this one seemed to have a patchwork plot. It is possible the author was using this book as a bridge to extend the series. However, with such a disappointing story, I will not be a reader/listener of any future books.
What do you think your next listen will be?
Nothing in this series. The Penton Legacy series was recommended by a friend so I will give that a try. I know the narrator of that series is very good.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
Narrator was mediocre.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointment that I spent my time listening to it.

Victorian steampunk at its best! More, please...
Revisado: 03-31-11
This delightful romp in Victorian England has it all: engaging characters, page-turning plot, and lots of sizzle. I hope a sequel is in the works, featuring more adventures with Merrick, Caroline, and the gifted chidren. The narrator made the story come alive.

Good book but narrator is ponderous
Revisado: 07-21-08
I have been listening to this series in order and have enjoyed every book and narrator until Dark Symphony. The performance of the narrator is slow and ponderous. Byron sounds like a dull-witted, stereotypic Transylvanian. This was so annoying, I purchased the paperback to read, instead of finishing the audiobook. I strongly recommend listening to the audio samples before purchasing this audiobook or any remaining in the series by the same narrator (Destiny, Secret, Demon, Celebration, Possession). Personally, I am going to read the books in print.
