Maybe they are all like bird people????

So you know how birds find each other show off some plumage and boom mates for life??? Yeah feels like that here. Suddenly the main character who has a past with multiple lovers and suiters has a new fling in her life that she just met and boom matted for life and wants to be his baby momma. Everybody becomes fast friends for life etc etc. I couldn't get past the first 10 hours... Save your money. Not worth it unless that sounds interesting to you.

minor spoilers: decent story. a few things i felt were weak. i expected a 4th god who emparted the black magic to arkon, but no. a mere mortal became powerful enough to challenge gods and there was never much explanation other than motive. training for our young magicers was just a "meditate and show no fear". some other nit picks as well. probably not one i would listen to multiple times, but if you are hard up for a new series it is complete and it is entertaining for a single pass.

started out well, but ended very much over the top. main character suddenly goes from nothing to most powerful being in seconds. lots of loose threads.

What disappointed you about The Chronicles of Dragon Collection: Series 1 Omnibus, Books 1-10?
I have read and listened to plenty of tween stories so a series for a younger crowd isn't usually a problem, but it was hard to keep going with this one. I have listened to graphic novel audio books before and one would expect a little cheesiness to the effects, but again this one seemed to go too far down that path.
What was most disappointing about Craig Halloran’s story?
Again, only made it 5 hrs in. The disappointments were more on the story line feeling forced and very linear, the main character came off as annoying. If I were his father I likely would have banished him as well. Probably only the second audio book that I just could not finish.
How could the performance have been better?
I think I disliked his performance more due to the fact that his voice reminded me of someone who I find very annoying.
