Historia
French literature may be said to begin with the ninth century "Song of Roland," and it has since then churned out masterpiece after masterpiece in every century right up to the present. Beginning with Balzac and Dumas in the early part of the nineteenth century and proceeding to Sartre and Camus at the midpoint of the twentieth, the stories in this collection showcase the talents of some of the greatest French masters of the short story.

Nonsense music
Revisado: 06-27-20
The annoying classic music plays during the story and has nothing to do with the story. You have to listen to a minute of music to find out which chapter is which story.

Historia
One hundred thousand years ago, at least six human species inhabited the Earth. Today there is just one. Us. Homo sapiens. How did our species succeed in the battle for dominance? Why did our foraging ancestors come together to create cities and kingdoms? How did we come to believe in gods, nations, and human rights; to trust money, books, and laws; and to be enslaved by bureaucracy, timetables, and consumerism?

History + it's analysis
Revisado: 12-27-17
I think a great book. Its analysis has a bit of author's biases even if they claim this is the fact, it may not be. But the information helps you understand how the system is working.

I have reached chapter 8 out of 18, before which I just heard about introduction about meditation, which wasn't rich honestly, the well-known facts of living in the moment. On chap 8 the author gets close to talk about how to meditate but then again gets stuck in how to sit and what to wear intro. I gave up hope there.

Historia
Social theorist Gustave Le Bon gives historical insight into the political thinking of his era while offering timeless social commentary. Le Bon challenges the listener to contemplate how individual ideas change - often to a destructive end - when employed in a setting of groupthink. As technology and communications innovations make group formation easy and accessible for better or for worse, this book's message is certainly one that will not be lost in the crowd.

This book is rather a repetition of well known concepts with different wording. For example this concept "a crowd's dynamic is different from individual's dynamic" was repeated at least six times in the first one or two chapters.

Historia
This second volume in William Manchester's three-volume biography of Winston Churchill challenges the assumption that Churchill's finest hour was as a wartime leader. During the years 1932-1940, he was tested as few men are. Pursued by creditors (at one point he had to put up his home for sale), he remained solvent only by writing an extraordinary number of books and magazine articles.
