More secrets revealed and more lies told. Cade’s world is flipped upside down when he learns of a death and then another potential death. The man he despises, the most dangerous man in his life, may be the only man that can help him.
This series is proving to be one of the most exciting and entertaining ones I have read in a while! I am loving Cade’s story and so excited to see what happens next!

Historia
In the wake of death and betrayal, Vala flees the island of Garlin with Xavyn in search of the truth about her identity. To find the answers they seek, they must first cross The Divide - a mass of cloud and fog that has separated human lands from the rest of the world for hundreds of years. As they pass through what is meant to kill all who draw near, a surge of magic emerges, bringing death to some and more power to others. In turn, The Divide is weakened, the fog dissolving enough to reveal what lies beyond, reigniting thoughts of war between sides.

Fallen Flame
Revisado: 09-26-21
Imagine being different from everyone around you. You don’t just feel different, you are different. Life is hard for Valla being the only one with the burnt skin. Not scarred, but charred. She is fire, and she don’t know why. Then enter a mysterious stranger. He seems like an enemy at first, but the more Valla gets to know him, the more he seems to be an ally. When her life gets flipped upside down, can he help her escape the mess?
I really like Valla’s story. I can tell that it will be fun, and complicated and messy, but well worth my time. I give Fallen Flame 4 stars and I look forward to finding out what happens next!

Historia
Struck introduced listeners to Laney and Leela, twins who, except for a birthmark, are identical. When the people from their small town disappeared, they traveled to a different dimension - Antonia - to save their friends and family from slavery. Antonia strives to be a perfect society, but beneath the surface, there’s an underground resistance, rumors of a sickness spreading among the people, and a king who is trying to maintain the chaos by breaking an ancient curse.

I love this series!
The characters are pretty real and likable and the story is fast paced and exciting! I’m excited to see where the story heads in the next book!
My only complaint is with the narrator. She reads like English isn’t her first language with emphasis on wrong syllables and pauses in weird places.
If you can get past that (which I did) the story is really good!

Struck sci-fi/paranormal adventure
Revisado: 02-02-20
Laney and Leela are twins living with their parents after college. They, Laney’s boyfriend, their parents and two siblings encounter a strange event on their family camping trip. A strange storm and unusual lightning wake them from their sleep where they wake to find their parents and Laney’s boyfriend missing. Their disappearances begin a course of events that take the twins further from home that they have ever been.
This was an interesting and exciting story! I liked the way it was told from both twins’ points of view. The pace was good and the drama kept me listening longer and longer. It was hard to stop listening when real life butted in.. I am excited to grab book 2 on Kindle unlimited and see what happens next! I give Struck 4 stars!

Marley Gray is just an ordinary girl when she moves to a new city to start college. She doesn't know that magic even exists, much less that she is the descendant of one of the most powerful witches to have ever walked the earth. As far as she knows, she has classes to sign up for, parties to attend, and an overprotective father to avoid.

Twisted Magic V1
Revisado: 11-25-19
Four girls, Marley, Eve, Cassie and Tyler, are starting their college experience and are brought together by something strange and mysterious. An Accidental death and a past they know nothing about are the catalyst to the girl’s new normal. The powers are exciting, but the responsibility they bring is daunting. The four must stop the seals from being broken which will bring the apocalypse. But, you know, no pressure….
For the most part I found this story exciting and entertaining. I have to admit though, the character Cassie got on my nerves. She was so insecure and had zero self esteem. She fell for the dumbest tricks and just bugged for the most part. But in the last few books she started changing into a person that was way more tolerable.
The other girls were ok, they all had their strengths and their flaws. And the story itself was pretty good. There were times it felt like the story started to stray away from the whole preventing the apocalypse thing, but maybe the author was just setting up some future plot twists.
All in all, I enjoyed the books and I think you would like them if you enjoy urban fantasy and stories of witches and demons. 4 stars

Ember feel like she’s lost in a sea of nothingness. Then at times she is herself, but she doesn't know how she got into a limo or why there are people taking her picture. She has forgotten her rebirth, but then she fades into nothingness again….
Her brother has been trying to find Ember since she disappeared 3 years ago. And he’s found a friend and ally in Ember’s best friend Maddy. Together they try to solve the mystery of where Ember disappeared to.
Book one was amazing! And this one was just as good. My only complaint is that when Ember became the new personality, she was such a bitch. I am glad of how this book turned out though. I am rooting for Ember!
On to book 3. I am so glad I can snag it on kindle unlimited!

Ember Burning
Revisado: 08-17-19
Ember is hurting. Her parents died and she wants the elephant on her chest to leave her alone. Pills seem to be a way to numb the pain, but she hates what happens when she’s on drugs. Then a mysterious woman drops a coin with a pyramid on it and Ember picks it up and suddenly feels compelled to enter Trinity forest. The place where people have gone missing for decades.
Should she go, or could her recklessness cause even more pain?
What an interesting and compelling story! I loved Ember’s story of mystery and sorrow. There was even a bit of romance thrown in for good measure. The other characters were great to add to the mystery of this tale. Lili, the bubbly child actress that went missing in the 90s, Trey the brooding boy, Chris the only adult, and Pete the stoner kid that is there to have fun. And Zoe, the mysterious woman who seems to have some kind of sway with how they all act.
Their story is weird and fun and a bit creepy...and I loved it!
I give Burning Ember 5 stars and I can’t wait to start book 2!
