Historia
Neil Dalton's foundation is already cracking. Grief, guilt, and PTSD have ruled his life since a terrible crime tore his world apart last year, and he's dreading a holiday visit with the family he simultaneously needs and resents. Then someone from his past shows up and rattles that shaky foundation right out from under him.

Slow story with TERRIBLE audio.
Revisado: 12-20-18
This story may have ended well, though it went quite slow. I had to stop listening about half way through because the BASS got so deep and loud that I could barely make out the words. Buyer beware.

Historia
Do you believe in love at first sight? Paul Auster doesn't. Paul doesn't believe in much at all. He's thirty, slightly overweight, and his best features are his acerbic wit and the color commentary he provides as life passes him by. His closest friends are a two-legged dog named Wheels and a quasibipolar drag queen named Helena Handbasket. He works a dead-end job in a soul-sucking cubicle, and if his grandmother's homophobic parrot insults him one more time, Paul is going to wring its stupid neck.

The narrator spoke at double speed. I couldn't get past chapter 3, finally giving up.

This story is cute, but let's be honest.
Revisado: 03-19-18
Cute story, but it could've been an hour of a monotone voice saying the word "chrysanthemum" over and over and I still would've bought it just knowing it's a giant middle finger to Mike Pence. 🐰

Virtually, unlistenable
Revisado: 03-04-18
After loving the first book, this one is virtually unlistenable. The gentleman reading should have listened to book one. I know the characters can't sound exactly alike but they're totally different. It's supposed to be only a few months after the first book but the kid sounds like he's now 17. Otter is now effeminate. And I can't listen past chapter 3.

Historia
Jon Beatty thought he'd found the best man for him until Craig walked out. To add insult to injury, Craig's got a new lover - a woman - and wants Jon to be a different kind of best man...at his wedding. Reasoning that the only way to get over one man is to get under another, Jon heads out to Wilde's, the night club on Capitol Hill famous for its hot clientele and hotter bartenders. Jon just wants to get drunk and get laid, and bartender Liam Sable is more than willing to help with both.

If it's possible ... TOO MUCH SEX
Revisado: 11-27-17
Look ... I'm no prude. I'm 27 chapters in and have yet to get to a storyline. Of course, there hasn't been much time to develop a story because the two main characters are constantly engaged in graphic sex. It's overused to the point of distraction.
As for the narration, Mr. Andrews uses one single voice for all the characters, which makes it difficult to tell who is speaking. I'm grateful that there's occasionally some echo, so the listener knows when something is supposed to be a non-verbal thought as opposed to a sentence spoken aloud to another character. He also speaks quite slowly and almost in a hushed tone. I've sped up the narration to try and get through the remainder of the book.
I would find it hard to recommend this selection, unless you're looking for tons of sex ... in which case - THIS IS YOUR BOOK.

Historia
That’s the flummoxed state of Edward Stanton, a 42-year-old with Asperger’s syndrome. His job, his therapist, and his best friends are all gone. Even his nightly ritual of watching Dragnet reruns has short-circuited. But a call from his friend Donna in Idaho, telling him that her son Kyle is in trouble, launches Edward from his rigidly scheduled existence in Billings, Montana, to the open road. He and Kyle, a sweet little boy turned sullen adolescent, debate football, music, and bodily functions (“Why do you pee so much?” Kyle asks).

A nice followup to 600 Hours of Edward"
Revisado: 07-31-17
If you could sum up Edward Adrift in three words, what would they be?
Found his voice
What did you like best about this story?
That Edward has grown emotionally and is less stunted.
Which character – as performed by Luke Daniels – was your favorite?
Edward
If you could take any character from Edward Adrift out to dinner, who would it be and why?
To be honest, the narrator.
Any additional comments?
The author has overused the "I love the word ____" mechanism this time. While it was endearing in the first book, it was used to distraction in this volume. To have him say it over and over in the course of a few minutes was annoying (and in my opinion) unnecessary.
