Historia
Once upon a time I spent an evening flirting with a handsome stranger in a bar. But before we could finish what we started, I lost my nerve and fled. Months later, I’m minding my own business at work one morning when a stranger lets himself into the empty brewery. Panicked, I call 911, and the cops show up to slap on the handcuffs. In my defense, I have very good reasons to be afraid. Also in my defense, I’d never met my boss’s son.

Great Read!
Revisado: 07-14-24
Ms. Bowen sure can weave a gripping love story filled with wonderful characters and all the feels! Her writing is always flawless, smooth, and captivating and, of course, this one is no different. Add to that some wonderful narrators and you have the full package! In this book we're back in Vermont and we get to see old favorites as well as meet Nash and Livia and hear their story. Both of their lives are complicated - his by family and hers by a previous relationship with a very dangerous man - yet their hearts understand that this could be different. I absolutely adored Nash. He was protective without being suffocating, witty, caring, and flirtatious...sigh! Instinctively he knew what Livia needed and gave her room to breath and make her own decisions which is quite rare in books these days. Livia was strong, self-sufficient, and brave, managing her life and dealing with each obstacle that came her way. I loved their chemistry and banter and couldn't turn the pages fast enough to see their interactions. I really enjoyed hearing the story from both of their POVs as well. I'm loving this series (as I do all of Ms. Bowen's books) and look forward to immersing myself in the next installment!

Loved this story!

I absolutely fell in love with Jude and Sophie’s story from the very first page and the narrators were perfect for this story! This second chance romance is filled with emotion and real-life problems. The writing is wonderful and the addiction storyline was handled with care and with realism. There’s no surgar-coating here…Ms. Bowen helps the reader understand that overcoming addiction is very difficult but, through Jude, she shows us that with much hard work and determination it can be possible. As always, Ms. Bowen has given me characters and a story I will remember for a very long time…and the narrators brought it all to life in the best possible way!

Transferring to a new school under false pretenses is harder than I expected, especially when my cocky new housemate, Callan Thomas, annoys me at every pass. He’s treated like a god and revered by everyone on campus. Too bad he made me feel like a rejected fool the first night we met. But that doesn’t stop me from accepting his offer to become his fake girlfriend, because he has skills that I need. Only Callan can help me improve my game and make the USA women’s hockey team.

I could not have loved this book more! What a great addition to this wonderful series. Callan and Aria are perfect together and, even though their relationships started off rocky, it was worth every bit of stress to get them to their HEA. Aria's family is battling a sports scandal and Callan is battling a rather annoying ex. They both need a distraction and a way to get out from under that anxiety...enter the idea of a fake relationship and you have a really fun read. Of course, the reader knows that these two are meant for each other - after all, their chemistry is through the roof - so I was rooting for them from the very first time they met. These characters are smart and independent yet they compliment each other so well. They both grow so much during this story and that's always wonderful to watch. I fell in love with them and their story immediately and although this is book 8 in the series it is definitely one of my favorites. Do yourself a favor and ready this series...and, if you're not a series reader, then do yourself a favor and read this book. You won't regret it.

Sure, life’s been easy for me. Growing up in an oceanside house in SoCal, playing top-level college hockey, driving a luxury car with a generous allowance - sounds like the dream, right? Turns out what I didn’t have was freedom. And when I decided to transfer to Moo U for my last year of hockey, my controlling father cut me off. I’m just another student struggling to make ends meet. The only place I can afford to live is the Meyers’ farm, where I’ll work in exchange for room and board.

Loved this story!
Revisado: 06-13-21
My favorite type of books are those where there's character growth, emotion, and yet the author can still make the story feel light and entertaining amongst the drama and angst...and this book is exactly that. Melanie Ting, who's new to me, did a fantastic job in creating a story that I was immersed in from the very first page. Her characters, Zoe and Noah, battled family issues and lots of challenges but did so with courage and strength. They had so much chemistry that it was undeniable that they'd end up together but they also cared so much for each other's feelings and the situations each was facing. I adored how caring and gentle Noah was with Zoe and I absolutely loved that, for the most part, they communicated well with each other. Of course the path to their HEA didn't come without their struggles, both together and individually, but it was worth all the heartache to see them come together as a strong couple. This is the 9th book in this series and they just keep getting better - and, although I don't normally do this, I'm going to claim this one as my favorite so far. Don't miss out on this wonderful couple and fantastic story get your copy today so you can laugh and cry with them...you won't regret it one bit!

I’m banished to Vermont for a scandal that wasn’t my fault, and broke because my famous father cut me off. And did I mention my roommate stole my boyfriend? Yeah, I’m loving my Moo U experience. Now I need a job, because this gel manicure won’t upkeep itself. The only available option is the last one I’d ever want - a job as the hockey team’s equipment manager. My plan is to do the bare minimum, get paid, and find my way back into my father’s good graces.

Loved this story!!
Revisado: 02-16-21
You know what’s great about this book? Everything! I loved these characters, the situations they find themselves in, and, of course, their romance. I enjoyed the writing and am happy, once again, to have found a new-to-me author that I want to learn more about! This series is proving to be one I’ll devour as each new book becomes available. Kaitlyn and Lex couldn’t be more different and that’s what had me glued to the pages. She’s strong, smart, and has a wall around her heart that’s 8 feet tall – traits that make her admirable and just a little frustrating…in a good way. Lex is charming, sexy, and oh so genuine – I couldn’t help but love him from the very beginning. Put them together and you have a fantastic couple and a story that you won’t want to put down.
I really enjoyed how the author first helped me get into Kaitlyn’s head and heart and made me understand her point of view. Then, I loved how she let me experience this character’s growth. Living in the shadow of a famous father, and having people constantly use you to get to him can be overwhelming…and hurtful. I watched as Kaitlyn slowly came to terms with this and cheered as she started to allow people back into her heart – namely Lex and the rest of the hockey team. Once she opened herself back up she could start to enjoy the things she thought she’d lost forever. This transformation was wonderful to see. Of course, she was lucky to have the sweet, kind Lex to help guide her and both Kaitlyn and I may have fallen in love with him (hint…we did). He was gently persistent and that’s a very swoonworthy trait as far as I’m concerned.
It’s not often that I listen to audiobooks but I did in this instance and I loved it. The Narrators, John Lane and Emma Wilder, did a fantastic job at bring these characters to life and definitely impacted my enjoyment of the book in a very good way. This was a great story with just the right amount of drama and baggage…and, of course, the happily ever after of my dreams. This series has started off strong and I’m glad to have the opportunity to read these fun stories. I’ll definitely be picking up some more books by this author…you should probably do the same!

Steamy and sweet!
Revisado: 02-16-21
There’s a name mix up…and these two shouldn’t be living together. But Ryann and Jonah need each other, even though they don’t see it immediately, and so the adventure begins. Of course, the reader is treated to glimpses of their chemistry and watches the sparks fly right from the very beginning. It takes them a little longer to figure it out but it was definitely an enjoyable road to travel with them.
Ryann is desperate to stake her independence and show her brother that she can make it on her own. However, being attracted to Jonah, one of his hockey teammates, is not the way to do that. So, what’s a girl to do? Well first you resist…then, when you can’t do that any longer, you give in…but you definitely keep it a secret. And this proves to be difficult for both Ryann and Johan but definitely fun for me. Jonah is focused, so very focused, on his team and his future and is dealing with his parent’s drama. He can’t afford the distraction that Ryann brings into his life but he can’t hold back the attraction for long. He has rules…and she breaks every one of them much to the reader’s approval. These two bring out the best in each other and I enjoyed both their banter and their internal monologues.
I really liked the romance, and the heat, in this story but I would have also loved a few more pages to explore Jonah’s family issues and his relationship with his mother which was such a huge part of this character and why he behaved as he did. But maybe that’s just me…I always want more. Overall, this was a fun read with characters who had their fair share of obstacles to overcome. Another great addition to the Moo U universe…and another new-to-me author. This is proving to be a fantastic series!
