Really candid look at the life of an FBI profiler as well as many good references for books from other experts in the field of criminology. As a student who is studying forensic psychology and writing papers on the psychopathy and sociopathy, he also references studies I can look up to read and cite in my assignments.

I did not get this as a replacement to Goleman’s book but rather to supplement it. I found it helped me retain more from the book from one read.

I bought this book because it was on Reese Witherspoon’s book club list. I thought it probably had some hidden depth that wasn’t apparent in the book description. Well, any depth this book had was so well hidden I never found it! The writing was immature and the plot was not much better. I did listen to the entire book. I kept waiting for it to get better. It finally became interesting in the last 2-3 chapters. Honestly, I listened to it so long ago I forgot about it until going through my library today. I’m not sure if there is a time limit on returns but I will definitely be trying tonight!

I've read/ listened to many forensic psychology books. This book seems to subtly correct perceived injustices to the author which is usually credit for an idea. I found Kessler's book much more informative, unbiased, and more "case by case" examples.

This was a thorough and well written book. While suitable for the academic, it was not dry reading. The dense detail was broken up nicely. I'll listen to it again I'm sure.
