Nice and enjoyable
Revisado: 10-05-17
The book is not far as good as the original trilogy, not as complex and compelling. It is still a nice story and worth the read if you enjoyed the other books in the series.
I liked getting more background story from the old kingdom. The world is fascinating and the characters are lovable even if they lack some of the depth that they have in the other books.
The reader has a nice voice although I sometimes found it hard to understand who were talking. He also didn't make the story more like exciting, but it was comfortable to listen to.

Historia
Neil Gaiman has long been inspired by ancient mythology in creating the fantastical realms of his fiction. Now he turns his attention back to the source, presenting a bravura rendition of the great northern tales. In Norse Mythology, Gaiman fashions primeval stories into a novelistic arc that begins with the genesis of the legendary nine worlds; delves into the exploits of the deities, dwarves, and giants; and culminates in Ragnarok, the twilight of the gods and the rebirth of a new time and people.

Nicely done but nothing new
Revisado: 04-30-17
What did you like about this audiobook?
The book is a good introduction to Norse mythology. These are nice stories, and they are well told. The performance was excellent.
For a Norwegian is it however not so much new. I've been growing up with these stories, but I still very much enjoyed listening to them.
How has the book increased your interest in the subject matter?
It made me remember stories that I didn't hear for many years and made me want to learn even more about the mythology.
Does the author present information in a way that is interesting and insightful, and if so, how does he achieve this?
He shows much knowledge about the stories and the Norse mythological world.
What did you find wrong about the narrator's performance?
Nothing
Do you have any additional comments?
I was a bit disappointed as I was hoping for Neil Gaiman to make the stories more into his own and give them a new dimension by going deeper into them and the characters. Therefore only 3 stars for story. Even so ut is still worth a listen!

Historia
With The Alloy of Law, Brandon Sanderson surprised listeners with a New York Times best-selling spinoff of his Mistborn audiobooks, set after the action of the trilogy, in a period corresponding to late 19th-century America. The trilogy's heroes are now figures of myth and legend, even objects of religious veneration. They are succeeded by wonderful new characters, chief among them Waxillium Ladrian, known as Wax, hereditary lord of House Ladrian.

Good story but lacks the real magic
Revisado: 12-26-16
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Only if they already were in live with the mist born universe
What does Michael Kramer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
all the different dialects! Especially Wayne's.
Any additional comments?
It lacks the real magic of the mistborn universe, it can't compete with the original trilogy. It lacks for instance the good combination of the caracthers that the first books have. Somehow I don't feel I get to know and care about the characters as much. The mystery is not as great either. But Wayne is a good one and it has some very nice surprises! If you love the universe of mistborn and want to know how the world goes on, this is absolutely a good read! I would hear it again and am definitely hearing the next book too.

Historia
On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Nice but too long
Revisado: 12-26-16
What did you love best about 11-22-63?
Cool and original time traveling twist, really good descriptions of the 50s.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Made early it altogether shorter
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No it's too long and not nearly exciting enough to sit through all the descriptions and slow parts of the story
Any additional comments?
A nice and exciting story, some really good characters. But I must admit I didn't even finish it, at some point the story is moving too slowly forwards and you kinda loose track of what's going on. The book would be a five star if it'd been only a little shorter and the story had been more concentrated.
