A surprisingly good second book of the series
Revisado: 03-23-25
The story starts out with intrigue and keeps your attention throughout. There are a few dead spots, but in a book this long that’s to be expected. Looks like Lincoln Child is really starting to find himself and become a good writer on his own. No more need to have his famous father as a co-author, I would seriously have a look at his other books! The narration was also very good, just right. One of those books where you find yourself sitting in the car longer than you should to get through a part you can’t just walk away from.

Kept me on the edge of my seat, not wanting to turn it off!
Revisado: 02-25-25
A very well written story, yes, in book one there’s a couple chapters repeated – simply skip over them and it picks right up where it should. I saw the narrator’s voice was perfect for this story, someone who sounded older it would not have been realistic. It was so well done. I felt that I was with them for the entire adventure. Very much worth reading!!

I liked the backstory of Evan meeting Tommy, and although the lead up to the finale was long, it was never boring. I don’t want to give too much away and ruin it for other readers.

Historia
Walt thinks he might find the answers he's looking for among the ruins of an old Native American boarding school—an institution designed to strip Native children of their heritage. He has been haunted by the image of the Fort Pratt Industrial Indian Training School ever since he first saw a faded postcard picturing a hundred boys in uniform, in front of a large, ominous building—a postcard that was given to him by Jimmy Lane, the father of Jeanie One Moon.

This was the best Longmire book so far!
Revisado: 11-20-23
This book supposedly happened in Walt’s subconscious, but so many things - including the very ending of the book - tells us that what happened was real and the battles he fought were as important as any when Walt was wide awake. I won’t ruin the book for others with details, but suffice it to say that in this book Walt Longmire saved his - and many others - souls from a sort of suspended purgatory.

Because after the dark age will come a new age: of light, of victory, of hope.

Another great section of the story by Pierce Brown!
Revisado: 10-07-23
I definitely enjoyed this book every bit as much as the first two. I did have to go back and re-listen to some parts, lots of new things being brought into it with new faces, new planets, new struggles. I thought it was very well done by the narrator, something like this has to be incredibly hard to navigate and make changes in voices and personalities and I thought Tim Gerald Reynolds did a great job. A very well done, suspenseful and gripping story. Sure hope the next book is out, I have not even checked yet!

I loved the narrator, and the authors writing style is captivating. I will not give out any spoilers, it’s too good to ruin. Do yourself a favor and read this series, you won’t be sorry.
