Historia
My name is Pet. My story is going to break your heart. The first thing you should know about me is that I'm a good girl. I follow directions. I bend at the waist. I do anything and everything my King tells me to. But King is demanding. King is dangerous. He wants to hurt me. And there is only one person who can help me run away from King.... Except I don't know if I want to leave him. I don't know if I can. Good pets always obey their master...but what if I want to have two?

Beautifully Dark
Revisado: 05-12-18
I had to take the time to write a few words about this book. I had this one in my library for a week or so before I worked up the courage to sit and listen to this because I knew that I needed to dedicate enough time to get addicted. I was so right about falling in love with this book... I couldn’t put it down. The beginning had me hooked... Pet and King were both so beautifully broken and found love in each other. The dom/sub relationship was so twisted in the beginning, but for good reason, and evolved to so much more. The farther you get into the book, the more you fall for King and hope for him to get his HEA, all while having that inclination that things may not be just right. When Felix entered the relationship, I somehow knew that he would end up with a much bigger role for Saphire, but I was still left guessing what might happen next. From his very first scene with her, I felt like he was perfect to complete her and make her dark wounds better. While I was somewhat able to guess how this story would end and who would end up with a HEA, there was so much mystery and suspense tangled into the background that when all the cards were left on the table, I didn’t see it coming. Highly recommend this story, but beware if you have bdsm, abuse, or rape triggers.

My whole life has been about waiting. Playing it safe. Be the good girl, don't color outside the lines. Put in the hard work trying to prove myself to Dad, then to my college professors, then to my boss at New World Media. Just waiting for the day when it will all pay off. And right when it was all starting to - I finally had the house, the job, I was even thinking about getting a cat-boom! - my life explodes and suddenly now I'm here and - "All done," the doctor interrupts my thoughts, pulling off her gloves with a loud snap.

Great Dark Romance
Revisado: 05-08-18
Loved this take on Beauty and the Beast. The characters were well developed and were easy to fall in love with. Narration was great and kept me immersed in the story. This story included soft BDSM and didn’t many triggers that I noticed, so it’s great for someone who is interested in BDSM books, but wants to ease into it or usually doesn’t react well to hard triggers.

Once upon a time, I believed in fairytales. But then he took me. And he taught me that life isn't a fairytale. He is scarred. Broken. A dark and wild thing. His beauty is violent and his words are cruel. His heart is a shadowed landscape where nothing can grow. He tells me he could never care for me, and he proves it every day.

So dark and perfect
Revisado: 05-01-18
I usually don’t write a full review, but had to in this case. If you’re a fan of dark romance, this book is a must. Both characters are just so beautifully broken and difficult to resist falling for Javi. It is very twisted and dark though, so if you’re prone to triggers, I’d steer clear. The narration was brilliant. Narration can really make or break a book, especially when it’s duel POV and only one narrator. I loved Javier’s narration... it was believable and the accent really came through and made it come to life.
I’ve read a couple “Beauty and the Beast” interpretations and this one did not disappoint. There’s never a point of perfect, cheesy bliss like most books, where everything is wrapped in a neat little bow. You’re left conflicted on your feelings towards Javi until the very end and I love that there’s a HEA without tying every loose end and staying believable

LOVED this duet
Revisado: 04-14-18
I’m so happy that I decided to listen to this duet. This is the second part of the story and I was in love with the first. The second part is even better than the first and totally worth the credit. I listened to the first part for free with the romance package and was so captivated and intrigued that I had to buy the sending part to see what would happen. I loved the grit and somewhat taboo nature of this story... it was unpredictable and surprisingly still relatable. While I loved the heroine of this story, the “hero” was the star. He was so complex and riveting... when you think you have him figured out, he flips everything around and keeps you guessing. In the end, his true nature and heart is what really made me fall in love. This duo was original and not at all cliche. I loved the layers to the characters and story... worth the credit and time.

I spend all day telling my clients to keep their mouth shut so I can get them off whatever charge they've managed themselves caught up into. I'm one of the meanest attorneys in NYC, and women can smell money and confidence from a mile away. I win cases, and I can get any girl. Except for one, and she's making my life a living hell.

Pleasantly Surprised
Revisado: 04-04-18
I was really surprised by this book. I was fascinated by the “taboo” subject of the romance between step-siblings, especially since these particular step siblings grew up together and didn’t become step siblings as older teenagers or adults like most step sibling romances. The plot was actually pretty well rounded which was surprising considering the length of the book. There was a believability to it and great, thought out conflict and resolution. I loved that things weren’t magically solved and ok when it came to a head because that isn’t how real life works. Definitely worth a listen and a credit.

Faith Morrissey is overdue for an adventure. After 20 years in the same small town, she sets out on a yearlong study abroad trip, fully expecting to fall in love with the wonders of Budapest. She certainly doesn't expect to fall for Wes, the mysterious stranger who sweeps her off her feet mere days after her arrival. It seems almost too good to be true.

Great Listen
Revisado: 03-17-18
Love this story and LOVE the narration. There were parts where I was thinking things were getting a bit predictable, but I still liked the base of the book. I kinda found it funny that her ex was a fleeting thought in the story. It was mentioned several times that he’s her ex and I found it really coincidental that he happened to end up in the FBI and was there to help her, but only actually appeared in the book once. Could have done without him, but would have loved to see him with a bigger role. The way that he was mentioned several times and the focus being that he treated her well, was so handsome, AND happened to be in the FBI and helped her when she needed it left me wanting more. He should have played a bigger role in the storyline or be left completely out. I feel like the underdevelopment of that character specifically and the fact there was no epilogue and the ending seemed rushed made the book seem incomplete.

Look, it wasn’t even my idea. But that’s hardly an excuse for agreeing to teach my best friend’s little sister how to win a man. But like I was going to let some other guy in the city help the deliciously awkward and ridiculously sexy woman figure out the ways of men? My unquenchable (and very secret) desire for Harper aside, she’s my good friend too. What’s the big deal if I give her a fake (but it feels real) kiss on the street? Or if I help her learn how to dirty text?

Love this book!
Revisado: 03-15-18
I downloaded and held onto this book for a couple weeks before actually taking the time to listen... I was attracted to it because I’m a huge fan of Lauren Blakely and Sebastian York is my favorite narrator. The biggest reason I didn’t listen to it right away was there wasn’t a big description about what it’s about in the summary and I wasn’t as inclined to ignoring that because I usually prefer duel narration anyway. If I knew how much I’d love it, I would have listened to it right away... on the other hand, when books stay in my library that long, they usually get deleted to make room for new ones without me actually listening to them. I knew on some level that this one would be really good because of Blakely and York and I was so right. I fell in love with Nick. The heroine was another corky red head that Blakely does so well, but the male is always different and Nick has to be my favorite that I’ve come across from Blakely so far. He’s a HOT nerd... glasses, Chucks, and goofy tattoos to boot. MUST LISTEN! Loved this one so much that I’ll probably listen to it again in a month or so.

Awesome version of a classic
Revisado: 03-12-18
Loved that this plot was based off of a classic fairytale! This story took it to a whole new level though and I loved it! I couldn’t stop listening and I fell in love with the characters. There were a couple spots where the audio quality wasn’t as good, but didn’t last too long. Other than that, the narration was great and the different voices for each character were completely believable. Definitely worth a credit! Becoming a fan of the modern fairytale series

Historia
At fifteen I fell in love. His name was Jake Stephens and he took the abandoned, lonely girl I had been and made me whole. His love was a pure and unconditional love that made every day better than the last; a fairy tale of my very own. But this story isn't about Jake. It's about Abel Madden; the man I meet after the fairy tale goes to hell. A cocky, arrogant man who says what he wants, does as he pleases, and makes no excuses for it. He irritates me--downright pisses me off at times--but he also brings me back to life.

I usually don’t take the time to write reviews, but couldn’t resist this one.
This is a must listen... it was an amazing experience to hear this story. I don’t want to give away any spoilers, but I will say, have your tissue box ready. There were a couple times during this story, that I had to take a break, pull myself together, and clean my tears. If you happen to have the romance package, this is a no brainer! Take the time to listen and prepare yourself for the emotions after getting to know these characters. If you don’t, I still think it’s well worth the credit. I couldn’t stop listening and ended up finishing in less than 24 hours
