Historia
Natalie Barnes isn't sweet on the idea of commercial interests souring their cozy oasis, but the single innkeeper has other problems on her plate: a withering relationship with her best friend Charlene, the sudden appearance of her ex-fiancé with a tempting proposal, and eerie bumps in the night suggesting the Gray Whale Inn is haunted. Worst of all, there's a killer on the loose, picking off people like ripe fruit.

Disappointed
Revisado: 01-22-23
Thought I had found another good series to listen to after completing book one. But, like another listener had pointed out, the person narrating the book was terrible in her use of “i said-he said-they said” - etc.. I knew there was something naggingly wrong and it became very apparent in the second book. Not good reading!!
Also, too much romance started creeping in for my taste. Being a guy, I can handle a little bit but this started becoming part of the main theme so I have to give up on this one even though it’s well written and the back and forth banter was excellent. Even the mild way the story concerned murder was well done. Whomever is in charge of assigning a narrator needs to review this series and make some changes. Very disappointed!

Historia
Buried in the depths of the Pacific Ocean, off the coast of Japan, lies one of the greatest drowned secrets of World Wart Two - a crashed B-29 bomber that was carrying a third atomic bomb to Japan in 1945. Its deadly cargo, lost in the sea for nearly 50 years, is at the heart of this classic Dirk Pitt thriller, in which a small group of Japanese nationalist fanatics, dreaming of a new Nipponese Empire, set out to neutralise and blackmail the USA - with nuclear weapons planted strategically in the country's major cities....

Enthralled!
Revisado: 05-17-22
I had read (or rather listened) to this book several years ago. But this time it was as if I had never read it before. I was absolutely amazed at the story line and I am at a loss for words for more to say. Of all the Clive Cussler books I have listened to this one has been the most enjoyable and inventive for me. I hope everyone has a chance to become immersed in all the subtleties this man has uncovered in this story. Thank you for an enjoyable read Mr. Cussler.

Touched my heart
Revisado: 11-24-21
I don’t usually write reviews of books unless they are horrible. This one leaves me with a touch of melancholy that I can’t explain. The story is so poignant in so many ways. I don’t believe I have ever read a book like it! I’m sorry, I’m rambling. I don’t know how anyone could read this and not be touched by the tale of a family’s tragedy’s in a period of world tragedy. Exceptionally well written. It really struck me emotionally on SO many levels. In my estimation a book everyone should read.

Historia
It has been ten years since 21-year-old Kevin MacKenzie, Jr. ("Mac"), has been missing. A Columbia University senior, about to graduate and already enrolled in Duke University Law School, he walked out of his room in Manhattan's Upper West Side without a word to his college roommate and has never been seen again. However, he does make three ritual phone calls to his mother every year: on her birthday, on his birthday, and on Mother's Day.

Terrible!
Revisado: 07-18-21
I hated this book!
451 million characters to try to remember and keep up with and then the end came so unexpectedly fast. It was probably one of the worst books I have ever read.
I’m glad I waded thru one of her books so I know not to ever try one again!

Where is the sequel?
Revisado: 02-14-19
I listened to this several years ago and enjoyed it very much. I am 72 years old and still enjoyed this especially with the lady that was the narrator. Her voice and the quality of her reading made this a book worth listening to over and over again. I think I enjoy reading Heinleins books for younger people such as this one, because it lacks the vulgarity and utter violence and sexual aspects of the more "adult" books. Anyway, I hope this review helps others to want to at least investigate Heinlein's books for the younger generation. Another one that I have read over and over again is Starman Jones which I highly recommend.
