The Mustache eulogy had me in tears of laughter. Fletcher isn't at the top of his game and Goldie is getting through life's curve balls. Add in Sweetpea, the tiny pupper who has her grumpy dad's heart, an older girl-squad of supportive and hysterically funny friends, and what's not to love? Filled with Pippa's laugh-out-loud moments, this is a must-listen. Great storyline, great narration and second chances - this has it all.

Great Story and Characters

This was a great storyline with funny, interesting, developed characters with human foibles. The narrators were believable and captured the geekiness that is academia. Terrific listen.

DNF. Characters were unbelievable and h is Too Stupid to Live

Characters brought a swift end to the listen. Is anyone really that stupid, and if they are, why would anyone bother to listen to their story? The narrator for the female character was like listening to nails on a chalkboard.

Fantastic

One of my top reads in several years. Epic tale with all the drama and tension of everyday life, life during war time and life over generations. I could feel myself in the story. Read or listen to this immediately! I've recommended it to multiple friends and all have loved it.

Loved Loved Loved It

Narration can make or break a good story, and Maxine Mitchell and Teddy Hamilton nailed this one. The book kept me listening from start to finish with perfect pacing and just the right amount of unpredictable twists and turns to be believable, but not boring. High recommendations for this one and totally worth a credit.

Female narrator was not a good fit

I liked the story, but the female narrator sounded like she had a clothes pin on her nose and a Jersey Shore accent. Both the nasal tone and accent became more pronounced as the book progressed. It was hard for me to finish because the female narrator sounded and acted so different from how the character was described. This was a casting misstep.

Taming of the Shrew - New and Improved!

Loved this sci-fi take on the taming of the shrew storyline. I laughed out loud when the breakfast was sent away and the 1980s/1990s "designer" clothes floated away. The pace is a little slow at first, but necessary to set up the heroine's character. This is a perfect escape from today's troubled world. I'm ready for the next in the series.

Another Great Story by Kendall Ryan
